hello monday {we’re in england!}

Hello friends! We are waking up in the UK and saying hello to all things British {and Scottish!}.

Hello beautiful, old buildings.

Hello red, orange and yellow leaves.

Hello pounds instead of dollars.

Hello park play and silliness.

Hello flowers and color.

Hello Auntie Janet and baby Phoebe.

Hello going to Judo with cousins. Hello trying something new!

Hello roundabouts. Hello driving on the other side of the road.

Hello happy, healthy David. We are praying he stays that way!

Hello ipads and iphones and taking turns.

Hello cozy kitchen and sipping coffee.

Hello brand new week! It’s going to be a good one. What are you saying hello to this week?

  1. Glad you’re enjoying your British trip. We are truely blessed to live on such a lovely island. I need to say a huge, big sorry about all the rain at the moment – it’s horrid.

For future reference, Scotland is part of Great Britain, so you didn’t need to put Scottish in brackets in your title up there 😉 unless you meant to say:

British = Welsh, Scottish + English

    1. Thank you for helping me out with that Sarah! I loved Scotland and have been enjoying the nice cool weather, it’s a huge difference from California and it’s a nice change. 🙂 I hope you have a wonderful day!

  3. I LOVE that church’s blue doors!! And it just looks so cozy where you are. It’s making me look at our rainy Olympia weather with a different perspective today – I will pretend it’s cool and British!

Hello to school conferences, my book club meeting, Homecoming week where I teach (I’m chaperoning the dance — eek!), the red in my hair becoming permanent (eek, again!), and a date to the performance of “Go, Dog, Go” with my little Clementine.

    Enjoy your week overseas!!!

  4. I can NOT believe you guys found me hiding in that extra bag AND that you then tossed me to the curb here in LA! So mean! I am SO happy for you guys and enjoying living the experience through your photos and words. Have a wonderful time!!!

  5. Welcome to my country! It looks like you’re having a wonderful time. Hopefully the weather will be getting better over the next couple of days. I promise it doesn’t normally rain quite this much in October! Have fun xx

  6. You guys look like locals, enjoying every moment. So glad you are having a good time and that David is feeling well! PTL for that! Find yourself a Star Bar…if they still sell those over there!

  7. Hi Lisa, I am sitting here in Edinburgh, Scotland as I type, wearing my much-admired family tree necklace! Just about to go to the pub with my lovely sister who’s over visiting from Houston, Texas. Hope you enjoy Scotland in all its autumn glory. God bless. x

  8. Hi Lisa, I love seeing the world through your eyes, thanks for the beautiful pictures and have a wonderful time! 🙂
