That typewriter is amazing! And those are totally my rollerskates, too! I’ll be visiting my sister in Atscarero in December. I know everyone is so eager to take you up on your coffee offer…but would LOVE to meet you in Slo and share a moment of life together!
that looks like a beautiful place Lisa!!
I usually don’t comment on your blog but after living in SLO for 6 years, your posts totally make me miss it there and all the fun shopping. Luckily we are in Monterey now and get to visit often, so I’ll have to hit this store up next time I do!
Have fun this weekend!
Sounds like a great little shop wish I was closer but, Louisiana is too far .. thanks for sharing , you my dear are a delight !! Have a fab weekend !! Be blessed my friend !!
OH! Thank you for letting us all know about such luciousness! Since I am in Paso, I will be there soon — that’s for sure!
Hi Lisa, yes, giddy, I love stores like this too (we call them shops here in NZ). NZ does have quite a lot of vintagey, antiquey, second-hand (not my fav ones as tend to have lots of ”rubbish” in them) shops. Where I live there are about 2 really good ones (not many huh).. I always manage to find treasures though. I think my fav treasure was a wedgewood rectangular dish with a lid, showing paper being made way back when. It is cream and the pics are a lovely burgundy. It’s a real treasure – around 5″ wide, 1″ tall and 3″ across – as I adore beautiful papers and it takes pride of place in my studio. Inside it I have bits of old watches, some tim holtz embellishments, brooch backs and clock hands! There I’m smiling just thinking about it! Oh and on the ends it says ”The Wiggins Teape Group Papermakers 1761-1961… how cool is that!
Check out Lisa’s jewelry featured in this months Elle magazine……page 419. There is a pic of her Sweetheart Tree pendant and her Family Tree pendant.
Congrats Lisa on being featured!!! As soon as I saw the page, I had to buy the magazine!!!!
This is hilarious, because “Ruby” and “Rosie” are our two favorite names right now for our child! Often, we have just said we should shove the names together and have a Ruby Rose. If we do name her that, I’ll just HAVE to visit the store!!
Wow, it looks pretty amazing, a real treasure trove. I’ll book a flight from England!!
I can’t wait to visit that store next time we’re in SLO. We head to Morro Bay at least three times a year. I would love to meet up with you and have a cup a coffee.
yayy! 🙂
…this looks like my parents HOUSE a couple of months ago when we were moving them into a senior community!!!! ….do you think she will take my ice skates from the late 60’s?!!!!!!
I am so excited….I will be in Morro Bay in December! I can’t hardly wait to check out this shop…..I check your Blog daily….makes me feel like I am at the Central Coast….I spent my summer’s in Morro Bay…my family owned The Hungry Fisherman……My Mom has a house in Morro Bay and I try to make it there several times a year…..Maybe in December we can gab a cup of coffee and go shopping…I would love to see your jewelry in person…..Have a great weekend! Oh by the way, I have the same picture of the pink barn that you have posted on your Blog….That is my favorite barn!
This looks like my kind of store…..thank goodness I am a local and I don’t need a ticket! Thanks for sharing I love to find new stores in my area. Denise
Very giddy. Thanks for sharing! And while we’re at it, let’s check out those thrift stores on South Higuera. AMAZING window displays!!!
oh man Lisa,so beautiful!!! and so far away:( i will just have to salivate over your pics:)
just dicovered that shop about a month ago and fell IN LOVE!!! i love places like that!
Stephanie is one of my favorite people. I haven’t been to her new store but I hung out A LOT at her old one. I think I’ll swing by today for a visit.
Wise choice on the painting. It was the first thing that caught my eye from the wall.
oh, now THAT is goodness! did my heart good just to see the pics – and now my soul is getting another lesson in contentment *sigh*
Thanks for posting! <3
Oh my… if only I had the $$ for a flight. That store is right up my alley! Love the painting!
CUTE SHOP!! I wish I could come!!! Too far! I will have to find something here in Minnesota.
Is “this girlie” your sister?? She looks just like you. I am going to read her blog when I have some more time. It looks so good. Thanks for sharing that with us:)
ok i lived in slo for 6 years and i go there at least every other month and i’ve never even heard or seen this store. i’m about to jump in my car right now! can’t wait to plan my next trip over. (and get a pig sandwich from my fave restaurant as well. :))
OK, I am booking my plane ticket and coming…mind if I hang out for a couple days? 🙂
Oooh looks like a fun treasure trove.
Hmmmm . . .could be a sign. So beautiful – I was up in your neck of the woods last weekend, and went to a friend’s photo shoot, and there she had interesting business cards and flyers of – you guessed it – Ruby Rose!! Next time I flee Los Angeles for a little relaxation, I’m gonna check them out. (And if you are ever in Venice, let me know – would love to do coffee.) cheers!

It does look lovely… I might take you in on the offer and drive from Montreal!
