Hi Lisa, love love love the look of your blog! Especially love the washboard pale blue! Yumm.. Oh I ADORE christmas and this year I am putting our christmas tree up in the first week of December. This will be the second year we have had an ornamental tree (a lovely bushy one that looks very real) and I am thrilled because I can put it up as early as I like. We are going out of town for the few days over christmas so I can treat my 83 year old mother to a REAL christmas dinner, turkey etc. My sister lives in the same city but never cooks a real christmas dinner and I know my mum really misses it. I don’t really want to leave home as it will feel weird not opening our presents on Christmas morning (we’ll take a few with us but we only have a small convertible) – we’ll have to wait until the 28th.. ugh ugh ugh… but my mother is very much worth it! Smiles…
Oh how I love IKEA! The closest one to me is about 3 hours away. I know that if there was one close to me though, I would spend entirely too much money there!!!
It’s funny that you should mention Ikea today, because we were there just last night. We stopped in for a cheap dinner when we are on our way home from the big city which is just over an hour away. The challenge is leaving without spending big $$$. I managed to get away this time with just a couple of chocolate bars, mmm, but my DS was trying to talk me into some Christmas decorations. Couldn’t think of a good place to put them so we passed them up.

Oh goodness that’s LOVELY. The closest IKEA for me is a 2-hour drive south (to Pittsburgh). It’s a bit of a haul but not nearly as bad as when I lived in Nashville (then the closest was Atlanta!) Hmm this may call for a road trip, if the weather holds out!
I was just there last weekend, when we did a quick trip to Newport Beach and Costa Mesa, for my daughter’s 12th b-day. I am so sad that we don’t have an Ikea here in Las Vegas. I know it would do well here. You are so lucky you live near one:)
I live in a small rural town, but there is an IKEA only about an hour away in the city. I love IKEA! My husband can only take IKEA in small doses. He knows if I go in, it’s a challenge to get me to ever leave. I’ll have to put a visit there on my Christmas break to do list. I’ve never been to IKEA during the holiday season. It looks so festive! (And, I must go by the restaurant to grab something to eat—the Swedish meatballs and a yummy dessert!)
So jealous! My nearest IKEA is thousands of miles away and I can only purchase small items that can be brought home on an airplane.
Man.

Oooooh I love IKEA, but have never been there at the holidays — so thank you for sharing this such beautiful cheer!
Thankfully “our” IKEA is close enough for a day trip, but far enough away that we only make it a couple times a year! 🙂
