I’m sporting the pretzel today – in red!
We’re taking our first family photo with my daughter-in-law to be. I’m so exctied. I’ll send you a copy as soon as we can.
My new fave knot! Thanks for sharing 🙂 I am linking to you for this!! awesome…
Cute! Thanks for sharing, Lisa – I’ll definitely have to try this sometime soon!
Have a lovely day…
thanks for sharing!!! i went right to my closet and tried this out. we dont wear scarves too often in So.Florida but now i know how to tie one if i ever need too…and it looks super cute!
I did this today and LOVED it!
I’m still working on mine! haha! Thanks for sharing! ♥
More! More! I have about 25 scarves and love to wear them (it’s 7 degrees here today!) but have very few ideas other than the boring “tie it in a knot” in the front. This pretzel twist looks really neat and it wasn’t too hard to do. If you have any other ideas I’d love to see them.
Ran across your blog from a friend’s blog and now read you faithfully. I bought the brave love necklace the first time I was here and it has my husband’s and my 4 kids’ names on it. Not to be morbid but I think I will be buried in it someday it is so beautiful and meaningful to me. My kids love it!
Also love when you share craft ideas. Your pictures are absolutely gorgeous and belong in a coffee table book. Were you ever a professional photographer or just a skilled hobbyist? You should consider putting your pictures in a digital book – I do Creative Memories digital bookmaking and you could easily put one together.
Best wishes for a great holiday season!
just finished trying it out…awesome…thanks!!!
i wish i was wearing a scarf today! i’m going to try this next time! thank you!
Totally just took off my scarf and did this.
Oh my goodness! thanks for posting how to do this. I just finished knitting of myself a holly red scarf and I just learned a new way wearing it.
thank you:)
Dear Lisa
I found your blog by chance and I really have come to the heart, your stories and especially your children. Matty’s tenderness toward his brother and especially David, their progress and happiness in his face.
My name is Silvia I live in Spain specifically in Malaga, I’m married and I have a beautiful girl named Isabel and now three years old.
My English skills are very basic to write so I am using a translator, please forgive my grammatical errors.
I read your blog from the first day (December 2006) using the translator, many days of reading! but I’m very happy for having met you and your family.
you made me think you have to live day to day and be happy with the good and bad. I think your son’s disability plans you truncate your “normal family” but have you grown in adversity and you are a wonderful family with some beautiful children.
I learned a lot these days to read.
Thank you very much for opening this “window” through which I could meet you.
With all my love Silvia
PD: I pray to God and my loved ones are in heaven every day, now also do it for you and especially David.
im gonna have to meet this erika girl…she seems pretty cool 😉
oh Lisa, you’re the sweetest ever!
I love the look of this pretzel knot. Thanks for showing us.
So cute and fun! My friend at work just showed me a new way to tie a scarf (very similar) and I love it! I like the little twist you added to yours.
HOW FUN!! I got several scarves while in Turkey and have been wearing them the same way. Tomorrow’s a new scarf day with a twist 😉
oooh fun!!
thanks for the tutorial, i am so going to wear my scarf this way tomorrow.
thanks lisa!
I’m so glad you posted this! I’m forever frustrated with tying my scarf… thanks for the tutorial! :]
Awesome! Thank you for the lesson. Never would have known about this method until now.
Ok have to say THANK YOU!!!!! I sat in front of the computer and did every step, so glad noone was here to watch me….hahahahah… but thanks
That is a wonderful idea! I will have to try it with a scarf I am wearing tonight for my birthday dinner! Thank you for sharing! I am also wearing a necklace that you made called “through my lens necklace” <3
Thanks! I’ll try that one!
Thank you for sharing. I love sarves (way too much for a California girl) but I don’t know how to wear them and I’m always embarrassed to ask.
This is great, and I love how it keeps the scarf snug up around your neck. Thanks for the tip!
FUN! I’ve been tying my scarves this way lately! 🙂
I just did this with the scarf I’m wearing at work. Love it!
Perfect timing. I am wearing a scarf today and just sat here and followed your easy instructions! My friends are going to jealous. Thanks!! It will be in my WIWW post tomorrow.
See you there and at Blissdom…I hear. Oh c’mon you know you want to be on our party flight enough to make the drive.
*reknotting the scarf she wore today* THANKS, Lisa!! 🙂
Wonderful! I am always trying to figure out how to tie my scarf! I will have to try this!
