i {heart} succulents

every where i look these days i am noticing succulents. i never realized what incredible blooms these hardy plants have! but even when not in bloom they are such a pretty addition to an inside room or outdoor table setting. i think i’m in love!

succulents are very forgiving–which means they don’t need a lot of attention and will thrive even if they go for a while without water. so with my busy schedule they are perfect!

  1. Love them! Just bought my first one a couple of weeks ago. After I read your post I went out and got him a couple friends and made a terrarium!

  2. wow, beautiful pictures!
btw did you know there’s a big space on your blog up top? Looks like a post with picture is missing but I’m sure it’s not. Not sure if you’re aware of it but I thought I would throw it out there just in case.

  3. My only succulent is Aloe, but I have 5 – soon 4 because I will send one to college with my baby.
They have been staples in my kitchen to treat burns – to include sunburn.
The reason I have so many? They have babies, so I repot and have to share.

  4. Love them too! I started my own little succulent garden in a planter tray on my deck this summer. It was sooooo fun to put together and it’s super easy to take care of! I plan to bring it inside this fall and enjoy it all winter.

  5. YES I DO! They are so hard to kill and they are easy to make from a clipping. I have a bit of an obsession going on right now, taking clippings from my succulents and growing them in water and replanting them in cute pots. Make perfect gifts too! Happy Weekend!!

  6. Hi Lisa, ermmmmmm I am a passionate gardener but the one thing I really don’t like in my garden is succulents of any shape, size or form! I DO admire them for their tenacity though, just not in my garden.. giggle.. xx

  7. Beautiful pictures. And, may I say, terrariums are also the “neglectful” gardeners friend. My husband and son made me one for mother’s day one year and it is beautiful AND I spray it with water about once every 6 months!!! Can you believe it!!!! Now that is the green thumb I’m talking about.
