wow, we did some seeerious relaxing this weekend.
david had a fever sunday morning
and i spent pretty much the whole day snuggled up with him on the couch.
and it was wonderful. {the snuggling part!}

i just started my christmas shopping over the weekend (online!)
and i’m seriously ready to pull out the stockings and white lights.
{i’ll try to wait a week or two!}

Ben and I have been in hospital since Tuesday, we hope to go home by Thursday if we r lucky tomorrow. Ben has cystic fibrosis and this is his first tune up. So not much time to think about the holidays yet.
Beautiful pictures!! An escape to a warm sunny place would be fabulous right now….not that the weather has been awful here, but mentally I need blue sky and warm air….
can’t wait to check out the holiday goodies!!

i am finishing our list and started shopping a little bit over the weekend. first, i need to get thanksgiving out of the way, since i will be hosting over 20 people, but then i am ready!

Beautiful pictures…makes me long for the central coast. The hubs and I are hoping to take a trip out there in the spring and relive our Cal Poly days! The only Holiday thoughts I’ve had so far are along the “Holy Cow, I have a lot to do to get ready for Holiday Boutiques” line. I’m selling at three boutiques in the next few weeks and then I can’t wait to relax and enjoy.
Love the photos! I’m not quite as anxious to get Christmas decor out as you, but only because of the “getting out” part. If someone else would get it all out, I’d be much more excited. :o)

I’ve already started decorating, too! We had snow (SNOW) here in Northeastern TN this weekend and that just put me over the top. I have 2 trees up and a few more to go, plus lots of other pretties! I love it!
We started our shopping this weekend. It felt good to get some of it done 🙂

i can relate! ready for Christmas here! we put our tree up on halloween! yes, you heard me right! we didn’t celebrate halloween with the kiddos this year….we put up our tree instead! and my Christmas shopping is almost done! now to relax and enjoy what is on its way!
hope david’s fever goes down and stays there! that would be great…..though i am so happy for you that he has been doing so well! the surgery is behind you, praise the Lord!

I’ve made a little hefty dent in our list as of this weekend. The retailers are really pulling out all of the stops this season and getting the deals going early! Works fine for me! I know it’s a ploy to get consumers to spend more, but I’m hoping I have the will power to refrain from temptation! 🙂
I’m ready to bust out the Christmas tree and such, but I think the hubby would disapprove. I’m thinking I’ll be safe the weekend after next! 😉

Re Christmas, I’ve hand-made all of my christmas cards and just have to glimmer-mist them with irridescent gold (looks simply heavenly!) now. I have started thinking about christmas presents. I usually try to make lots of mine but there has been so much stress flying around re my hubby’s job over the past few months that I have to admit, I just don’t have it within me this year. I will look for cute little presents instead. Smiles..
I have started thinking about Christmas….because I want to make it as much of a homemade Christmas as I possibly can…so I need to get a head start!

Oh absolutely! The hubby and I started our Christmas shopping this weekend. It’s crazy to see Christmas decorations up at the malls already, but I’m excited…especially since this will be our Little One’s first Christmas!
i’m sorry to hear that david has a fever. unfortunately, i’m right there with him. i spent all yesterday at home trying to get better, but my fever worsened throughout the day 🙁 so i’m home again today. hopefully david (and myself) get better soon!

I am done shopping for the four boys. I have homemade gifts left for the grandparents. My husband and I do not exchange gifts. We will purchase something we need together when the time comes. I always start early and am usually done before October comes. We are military so depending on what is going on with his job we go from there when we start and are finished.
Are those photos REAL? Seriously, they are gorgeous–it makes me want to cross the country and hit up that beach! You are so very talented.
we just put up the outside xmas lights yesterday! couldn’t resist any longer…..now i just need to be patient for when i can turn them on for the world to see and enjoy on thanksgiving night!!! so much fun when you have little kids to get excited with!

I’m guilty…….I pulled out my Christmas decorations this weekend…….Usually I wait until the day of Thanksgiving, but something inside me was ready to bring out the white lights…….We had a tough weekend in our little valley…..A friend of my daughter’s was tragically killed saving his two cousins…..He was only 12! It’s times like these that you really how lucky you are to be alive and that life is too short…..Hug your kids and always tell them how much you love them….
