Last week we had dinner at Club 33 inside Disneyland. If you’ve never heard of it, it’s pretty exclusive. You have to be a member {or know a member} to get reservations. A friend helped us out and we were so excited! It’s kind of a once-in-a-lifetime thing. We had a blast!
Our annual passes expire in 6 days and we won’t be renewing this year, so I am thrilled we were able to squeeze it in before our passes expired!
Disneyland is magical, especially at Christmas time! It was strangely relaxing to be at Disneyland with no kiddos. This was an adults-only evening {although kids are welcome at Club 33}. So I was relaxed and we took our time. Yay!
We went with my brother and my sister-in-law. We talked, laughed, tried all kinds of delicious food and enjoyed the evening.
When we arrived, we rang a doorbell. They confirmed our reservation and then took us into a pretty courtyard to wait for our table.
Everything was branded with Club 33. So pretty–and much fancier than our usual Chipotle or Burgers!
We had 5 courses and finished with french press coffee. My favorite.
After dinner we went out onto the balcony that overlooks New Orleans square {right by the Pirates of the Caribbean exit}. I loved getting to see Disney from a different perspective.
All the twinkle lights and fireworks were so fun. I could have stayed all night!
Here’s a glimpse at Club 33, from the balcony looking in.
Pretty chandeliers, mosaic tiles, even the bathroom was gorgeous!
I think we’ll remember this evening for a long time.
We climbed into bed that night with full tummies and full hearts. What a fun experience!
Have you heard of Club 33? Have you been?
This is an odd question, but does your brother live in Texas – or did he? He and his wife look EXACTLY like a couple we knew at church when we were in seminary at Dallas. Small world! If not then they have twins, Ha! Have a great Christmas Lisa
It IS them!! I just found them on Facebook! I used to babysit their girls at church during the women’s bible study on Tuesdays. Awww, good memories : )
Thanks for the glimpse into the “Club”! We LOVE Disneyland and go back every year for a vacation even now that we live in Atlanta. We miss our annual pass days from living in California, but the big trips are something we really look forward to also. I don’t think I’ll ever get a chance to get into Club 33, but that area around there is my favorite…the courtyard below, and I loved when the Disney gallery was upstairs over Pirates. I can’t wait to show these photos to my kids. Thanks for sharing.
Thirty-six years ago my father managed to get our family a reservation. I was fifteen and in awe. This was when smoking was prevalent and businesses provided matchbooks. I still have my Club 33 matchbook with my maiden name written in gold along the bottom edge – they personalized your matches. My father ordered a bottle of wine and asked for three glasses! I couldn’t believe they allowed me to have wine, albeit only a couple of ounces. To this day, it is still one of my favorite memories.
I haven’t ever heard of it but it sure looks like fun.
As far as I know there’s nothing like that at Disney World.
What a fun treat!
total coolness on the Club 33…have not been- but us East Coasters make the trek to Disney World at least once a year…we’ll be there for New Years this year with our friends who are coming in from Munich…will keep you posted on our adventures… Have a super week xo Jen
