Hello there! It’s Monday and Steve and I are waking up in the Dominican Republic! We’re here on some business and some fun. I can’t wait to explore and share pics with you. How about some hellos for a new week?
***Hello Monday is where I greet the new week with an open heart and a fresh perspective. It’s a new beginning–and there’s so much to be thankful for! Join me by leaving your own hellos in the comments section or linking up a hello monday post there!***
Hello favorite jeans! I’ve been pretty much wearing boyfriend jeans and a tee everyday. If I’m home with the boys, it’s flip flops and if I’m in the workshop it’s comfortable heels. It’s summer–time to be comfortable!
Hello hair pulled back {something new for me!} and a big bag to hold everything from my camera, to sunscreen and diapers.
Hello sun shining and cooler June days. It’s been mild here on the central coast of CA. It will be much warmer in the Dominican Republic. I’ve packed cool sundresses and sandals!
Hello slouchy, easy and comfortable.
Hello pretty new necklace that makes me smile {get the 2nd birthstone FREE today!}
Hello trying to get ahead on email, projects and designs. Keyword–trying.
Hello long flights, being short on sleep and holding hands with my sweetheart.
Hello seeing a new place and learning new things. LOVE!
Outfit details: Boyfriend jeans, Pepe via Asos. Check out these too {my favorites, order your regular size}. Tee {I’m wearing a large} Target. Heels, Target. Bag {similar}, Target. Strong love necklace, My shop. Earrings, come soon to my shop!
Hello snapping pictures, speaking spanish and meeting new people.
Hello trying new food and sleeping in a different bed.
Hello adventure! What does this week hold?! What are you saying hello to this week? Leave some hellos in the comments or link up your own hello monday post there!
hi Lisa you looking gorgeous in these pictures I love your denim/jeans outfits. It’s proof that women over 40 can wear jeans and look chic!
You have gorgeous hair in general, but I had to stop and comment just to tell you it looks stunning pulled back/up! Just thought you should know 😉
Hi Lisa! First time commenter, just love your blog! Found you through the Art of Simple Podcast.. Thank you for writing and sharing your life with us – it’s so encouraging! And, what made me sit down and comment: Your hair is awesome all the time but I love it pulled back like this. Very cute and chic! Anyway, enjoy the DR and thank you again!
I think you will love the DR! And your jeans are appropriate since it’s inappropriate to wear shorts there. As you’ll see, shorts-wearers stick out like crazy!
A tip? Drink more water than you ever thought possible. Those bottles are about 30 cents. Don’t drink the tap water but drink, drink, drink bottled water all the time. I retained so much water when I was there and my feet swelled up like crazy. And I drank lots of water. Should have had more.
Big week here someone is birthday milestone, lots of fun planned. Love the idea of sizing up a reg. tshirt plus those boyfriend jeans are my favorite you’ve shown so far. Have fun!!
Sounds like fun! You look great!
Love this look and your whole post! Also, I am looking for a new work bag and that Mossimo tote you linked to might be just what I’m looking for – and such a good price, too! This week I’m saying hello to the start of summer reading at work – I’m a children’s librarian and we’re getting ready to see lots of kids and have a fun summer!
Have so much fun Lisa! Can’t wait to see your pics. Hope you relax and catch up on sleep and time with Stevie!
This week: hello to tying up loose ends, hugging my family tightly, and leaving them all for 17 days in Europe with some of my high school students and one of my favorite co-workers. Hello Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France, London, and probably 15 pound worth of magazines in my bag. Ready – set – go!

Wishing you and Hubby a wonderful time away in the Dominion Republic. And, love the jeans, and of course, you can sass anything up I’ve decided. Love the heels with the jeans. I’m linking up over at http://www.ciciscorner.com
I love the thought of boyfriend jeans but never really knew how to wear them – but this is TOTALLY cute and meshes really well with my style too! Love it!
