Since I do nails I would say my biggest girlie treat is a great new book or magazine and a bowl of ice cream. I have a 7 month old baby girl so it’s hard to find the time for myself so I steal minutes away when I can to recharge the batteries.

Hi, not sure I left a post, I tried to see if I did, not trying to cheat. Anyway, my favorite girly thing is a pedicure with a stimulating leg massage. I have neuropathy and it relieves the pain in my legs, unfortunately I can’t afford a ped as much as I like. I am one woman in a house of men and boys, so my favorite ‘girlie’ thing to do is spend a few hours with a favorite girlfriend. We talk, shop, enjoy a latte, and generally just get our ‘girl-fix’. By the end of the day, I am ready to come home to all my boys as a better mom and wife. It’s the best!

I am very simple… I look for`at least’ few minutes every day– for that ~quiet ~ so I can step back when everyone is asleep….and I am able to have `quiet’ to allow `God & Nature’ to just ~BE~ so I never Lose any trace of the day that has just passed. I wan to be able to burn it in my memory & remember day-sounds & smells -look at everyone & everything & have time to just hear them all breathe.
I lost my 1st child,son in his 1st yr, when I was just 21. That was all burnt in my memory- -the pain of every second-every movement. 30 yrs later I can recall it like it happened yesterday. The pain in my heart -takes my breath away and takes me to my knees in prayer. I learned, The Lord gave women Grace & strength=we did not know we had -we continue on-1foot in front of the other-day after .broken in heart-He holds us up & carry us thru our pain-He Illuminates his Love & gets us thru…we learn to see the Wonder & Beauty in all little things in our day to day life. Our child breathing.. the wind blowing..

I love love love!!! getting a pedicure, I can usually keep my fingernails looking good, but can never get my toes looking quite as nice as they do at the salon!

I love pedicures, Starbucks, and an hour to soak in the sun on a beach! (Plus a great book!)

I work in a salon and do hair..so a pedi or massage is girlie to me:))

Shopping at my favorite consignment shop or getting a great haircut.

A perfect afternoon for me would be shopping with my mom or little sister and going out for coffee afterwards. As a mom of two little girls with family living far, far away this doesn’t happen very often. But when it does………..BLISS!! 🙂

The day would begin with a bit of a sleeping in thing… then, stay in bed and curl up with a good book… get up with a breakfast in silence, then do some housework with the praise & worship music on (loud!)… the afternoon might be spent talking with friends on the phone without interruption…. I’d start supper, and eagerly wait for the kids to get home from school and the end of the silence to begin.

I think that it’s for anyone/everyone, but it feels so much like a ‘girly’ treat when I get to just hang out at the beach at sunset. ‘Don’t do the sunbathing thing any more, but when I watch the sun go down – preferably with a breeze – and take a clear, objective stock of my life… that’s a treat.

Best thing…TIME. Between families and jobs and all the other “mum” stuff, just finding some time to be together with my girlfriends, catch up, laugh, eat and drink is just perfect 🙂
