We will probably just be thankful for the day. Since it is a work day for hubby, probably just a quiet dinner at home. I have hearts all over my house so I am constantly reminded of valentines. If I am energized enough, maybe I’ll do something special to surprize my husband. I also am sending my mom a card, and daughter, son a card. I love to send cards to them too! Valentine’s Day is my sister’s birthday, so we usually celebrate with the family. The day almost feels like a second Christmas with all the love flowing.

I will spend the day at school with my students. It’s a fun day with lots of candy, gifts, and balloons. Then I’ll go home to my kids and husband. We’ll make a special dinner and spend time together.

I am planning to spend valentine’s day with all the boys – my husband and our two boys! We will make special brownie treats for dessert!

Our plans for Valentine’s Day is no different than a regular day…spend time together laughing and loving.

We’ll be spending the days prior making the annual Valentine’s Day mailbox for the school V-day swap. Not to forget helping the kids write our thier little cards and taping on treats. Then the kids and I make heart shaped cookies for the neighbors and for ourselves too. Yum!

Home made Valentines for my husband and kids. My husband’s favorite dinner and a home made cheesecake of his choice!

We usually have a special dinner which includes lots of candle light (my daughter’s favorite thing) and a special Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream Pie from Baskin Robbins.

I’m spending Valentines Day volunteering to watch all the kiddos at church so their parents can enjoy a nice dinner at the church. Sure to be fun!

It will be mid winter break here in Michigan and that means Grandma will have our kids for a long weekend! My husband and I look forward to this time of sleeping in, going out to dinner and catching up on movies we have wanted to see. We celebrate for a whole weekend! And it’s even sweeter this year that it falls on Valentines day:-)

with lots of hugs and kisses, reminding those i love that today (and every day) they are special to me!

oh…and a lot of chocolate! :o)

I like to spend Valentine’s Day with a special dinner at home and some type of chocolate for dessert.

I spend the day with my husband & three sweet girls. We send the girls on a treasure hunt to find a box filled with dollar store goodies. Then the hubby & I get a sitter and head out for much needed alone time!

My husband and I have been making each other Valentine’s cards since we met (20 years ago gulp!) and his wedding proposal came that way so definitely home made cards! I am also felting my two little boys Valentine’s mice this year – not sure why mice but they will have heart shaped noses!

My husband is in Iraq, but my daughter and I will probably make special treats in every shade of pink and visit an elderly lady near us who just lost her husband.

I plan on taking some time off of work to attend and help with my kids class Valentine’s Party and decorating heart cookies with them that evening.

We do fondue at the house, nothing fancy.

I don’t know. . . maybe the hubs will have something planned 🙂

We always take a mini vacation on Valentine’s weekend with our three kiddos. We look forward to it all year long.

I will be baking our traditional heart sugar cookies…fun food for the kids…sometimes my hubby and I go out to eat but we usually spend the day as a family:)

don’t have plans yet but we are pretty easy, nothing to grand but i just read one of the comments about writing love letters to each other which sounds like such a sweet idea!!

I will be hopefully snuggled up with my honey watching a movie. However, I am planning on making him a card out of candy wrappers. It will say something then “hot tamales” or “sweet tarts” will somehow find their way in there. It’s gonna rock.

I have no idea,probably just stay in.

I’m sure we’ll celebrate with lots of ice cream!

One favorite tradition our family loves on Valentine’s Day is giving each other “heart attacks” with heart-shaped sticky notes. We leave them in dad’s car covered with love messages, on bathroom mirrors, bed pillows, in the kids’ lunchboxes, etc. It’s a fun way to celebrate & express love.

I hope to spend Valentines day making fun crafty things with my kids to give to those we love. Then, I think we should end the day with a good family dinner and yummy pink cupcakes with sprinkles!!

My daughter and I are going to make Valentine cookies for her first preschool class party and homemade Valentines for her classmates. This may seem normal for most, but for us it is 15 years in the making.
My husband and I were told after numerous failed IVF attempts that children were not a possibility for us. The closer I got to forty, the more I believed them. But God had a different plan. Fifteen years later, he blessed us with a beautiful baby girl. We enjoy every moment that we have with her, so making Valentines is an answered prayer.

Valentine’s Day means sweet treats for my two little boys and sharing a bottle of fantastic wine with my husband.
 
More important than anything, it means celebrating love and the ones I that hold dear. They are the sweet in my life and I cherish every day.

Man it snuck up so fast we have not even made plans yet. Will probably enjoy a special dinner at home with my husband and daughter.

My Valentine is my 5-year-old daughter. We have a tradition of hosting a little girls’ Valentine’s party. The first year was a princess theme and the girls decorated their own cupcakes. Last year, was a Fancy Nancy party and we made Valentines. This year is going to be an American Girl Doll party. I have little tiaras for the dolls and plan to have the girls make special head bands. I can’t wait!

I’m glad that Valentine’s Day falls on a Monday this year since we can all be home together for dinner – no dance classes or other activities on that night of the week. Pasta and my older daughter’s favorite brownies are on the menu – and we’ll light candles on the table and dim the lights to make it a special family dinner. I love any time we spend together as a family! Fiona

Wow, I honestly don’t know… hang on a sec while I ask Hubby…

We’re not sure we’ll have a sitter ON V-day so we’ll probably go out on the 13th and beat the crowds, then spend the 14th at home with our lovely kids!

I hav no boyfriend or husband.wil treat myself with something cute lik a jewellery n wil spend the day with my parents:)

We celebrate Valentine’s day with little things…I am looking forward to heart-shaped pancakes with my girls and an at-home dinner date with my hubby that evening.

This will be our last Valentine’s day as a couple, with our first child finally arriving in June.

With my husband of 26 years.

We will be having a candelight dinner as a family and enjoying some homemade gluten free tiramisu (I hope) and time with the ones we love most.

My daughter will make homemade valentines for her classmates, I will make homemade valentines for my students, then we’ll spoil my husband silly at dinnertime since he takes such great care of us every day of the year.

Due to the economy and the need for a paycheck, my husband works out of state. He’s able to come home every 2 – 3 weeks. Yesterday, (Jan. 22nd) was our 28th wedding anniversary which we celebrated separately. He will be home the weekend before Valentine’s so we will most likely stay at home, grill something special and share our traditional chocolate covered strawberries. He’s my one and only!

My husband works a 14 hour day on Mondays, so we will be celebrating with a romantic meal at home on the Saturday. On Valentine’s day itself I am planning to put all sorts of little notes and hearts for my husband and children to find while they are at work and school and then some “I love you gifts” waiting for them when they get home. My 6 year old twins already have a boyfriend each – very sweet and innocent – so I will have to wait and see what they would like to do for them!!!

I am planning on making sugar cookies and then letting the kids icing them and decorate them. Drop them off for my parents with some homemade Valentines. Spend the evening together… some homemade stromboli and cookies with a hot cup of coffee. Then top of the big night with a special movie for the whole family. Maybe Charlie Brown Valentine movie. Doesn’t that sound wonderful? All together all snuggled up.

Valentines Day is my favorite Haliday!!!! I plan on delivering lots of LOVE baskets to many people I randomly choose! I’m taking my baby up to the NICU to see her nurses she spent 4 1/2 months with( we are taking them each a surprise to show them how much we love them) Then my othe 5 kids will get home from school and I’ll have a special treat foe them and a syummy “love” dinner then Todd and I will go to Cheesecake Factory for dessert and hold hands. I Can’t wait!!!

well we always make homeade valentines cards and we will probalby go camping for the weekend in our trailer with the kiddos and maybe hit a few wineries for some winetasting…

My husband and I usually make dinner together or get delicious prepared food from Whole Foods, and we just about always use our fondue pot for dessert– so yummy and fun!

I am currently overseas… so I will be spending my valentines day in India. Hopefully eating some delicious Indian food and hanging out with friends!

Valentine’s Day wlll be spent at home – but to make it special, the hubby and I will have “appetizer night”. I’ll make goat cheese baked in the oven with spicy tomato sauce, make some grilled shrimp, and maybe some other yummy treat and serve it with some wine or a cocktail. I’ll also probably make him some of his favorite cookies- chocolate cookies with peanut butter chips!

I will be getting my groove on with my kids at their valentines dance. My son has been counting down the days since last years dance, where he pulled out moves I didnt know any 6 year old could have! It took me 2 washes to get his pants clean after break danincing all over the floor. What a fun family time!

My girls and I always put together cute valentines for their classes. I always put together a little gift for my girls including something handmade, last year it was little appliqued heart and doily bags and I filled them with fun things.
As for my hubby and I we always have to get chocolate covered strawberries, or make our own, yum! We usually exchange a small gift if our budget permits, and usually hang out together at home.

I think my husband and I are each going to plan half of the day together. It should be fun and interesting to see how we surprise each other. 🙂

We will celebrate with much thankfulness for our family. So much to be grateful for even though there are so many trials we are facing at the moment.

This year is special for us because we’re finally parents. I don’t really care how we spend the night as long as we’re together. We’ll probably spend the night in with some good food, playtime and lots of giggles with our little one.

We haven’t thought that far ahead, but since it will my hubby’s weekend to work, it’ll probably be quiet. Maybe just a pizza/movie night. I hope to go to the kids’ valentines parties at school, but since I just started a new job, I’m not sure I’ll be able to sneak away for that. Fingers crossed!

We will be celebrating my 46th Birthday on Valentine’s Day! My husband always makes sure the two “events” are acknowledged separately – he tries to have b’day things and Valentine’s Day things (and they are not all heart-shaped!).

My friends laugh b/c I always decorate the house and have special treats for my husband, 3 kids, friends and family even though it’s my birthday. Now many of them surprise their husbands and children with sweet treats! Peer pressure!

I look for “heart-shaped” things on sale after Christmas to give for Valentine’s treats to friends, too!
AND – there’s lots of RED stuff marked-down after Christmas which makes it easy to stock-up!

Simply going out to eat with the hubby<3

My husband and I have never celebrated Valentine’s Day as we always saw it as a “Hallmark” holiday. However, now that we a have a little boy I see it differently. I can’t wait to celebrate this year. Decorating the house, making cookies together, sending out handmade Valentine’s Day cards to friends……maybe a heart shaped pizza for dinner. I can’t stop adding to my “To Do” list. I’m so excited!!!

Valentine’s Day will be a busy family day this year – two classroom parties, gymnastics, and an evening 4-H meeting. I will have a lot of baking to do to make special treats for each activity….but thankfully I have excellent kitchen help (my 7, 5 and 3 year old children). It will be a team effort making the heart-shaped hand decorated sugar cookies for the parties. My husband and children will each receive their own personalized heart cookie as my homemade Valentine for each of them. This is a tradition my grandmother started when I was a young child…I still savor those sweet memories and hope my children will do the same!

This year we will celebrate at home enjoying the few moments that we get together! My husband is working two jobs right now until the end of February so we will enjoy an evening at home!!

Valenetine’s Pajama Breakfast at work (I’m a children’s librarian) with my kids in attendance! I have some fun crafts in mind that I want to do with my daughter to decorate the house, and I’d love to make some heart cookies too. We’ll probably have a nice family dinner that night – maybe by candelight to make it fancy!

Since Valentines is on a Monday and the kids and my hubby has work/school. I will probably spend the morning with my youngest daughter (we have 4 kids) maybe we will have some heart shaped pancakes and do valentines day crafts with her and the little boy Jake I babysit. I will also make my honey his fav dinner and pamper him when he gets home from work. (BTW I love all your stuff and I asked hubby to get me the button bracelet for my bday which is feb 3rd.) I loved that my birthday was close to Valentine’s Day as a kid. Perfect excuse for a pink birthday cake and heart candy as party favors! These days we keep Valentines low key and will probably just snuggle up with our two puppies.

Valentine’s Day will be spent with my two boys: Ken – my hubby and Kenneth Ray my baby boy (ok he’s 13 but will always be my baby) The 14th is a Monday so I will cook a yummy dinner and the three of us will hang out and celebrate together.

This year will be a first for us (after 38 years). We will actually be celebrating Valentines’ Day. We have recently been working on a complete makeover of our very tired marriage and God has met us and done the work!

I am single this year, but I love Valentine’s Day! I am planning on having a party for my friends-a celebration of love!

Oh my goodness I had completely forgotten about V-day coming up! I feel like I am living in a compete bubble with our new son. If hubby and I can cook something nice together without fear of being awoken by a little cry from the baby bedroom (can you imagine the little stomach sink as you hear that first peep!), then we will count ourselves lucky.

We will spend Valentines Day at home. This is what we usually do. Each of the kids gets a gift, something small, but something that is important to them. Care packages will be sent to the two older kids, one in college, the other stationed in Texas with the US Army.

I will actually be at Bible study that night, which is good because I’ve never had a memorable V-day.

We will be having a special family dinner, my three year old already picked out special place mats and has requested spaghetti and meatballs and chocolate for dessert.

My husband & I will be flying home from Scotland on Valentines Day! This will be our first trip away since we’ve had kids (almost 5 years now)…I am SO excited!!!

We always have a nice quiet evening at home. Then going out to dinner some other time, as our own special Valentines.

We are totally laying low these year with no presents because we are saving for a cruise but the one thing we both agreed to do was to write a card to each other with a well thought out message on why we love each other. I thought that was meaningful.

So funny that my hubby & I were JUST talking Valentine’s Day menu right before I came here! Nice meal at home with our daughter… homemade clam chowder (super thick), scallops sauteed in butter & garlic, cheesy garlic bread on sourdough french bread, greek salad, heart shaped cake 🙂

I will make heart sugar cookies with my girls (twins) while their baby brother naps and that evening after the littles go to sleep hubs and I will have a quiet evening, maybe watch a movie.

I think we’ll have to make and frost sugar cookies. 🙂 YUM.

We go away every President’s weekend with some of our dearest friends and it is always around Valentine’s Day. The guys always cook breakfast as our treat. It really is a gift from the heart…the food is less than desirable.

I’m a Valentine baby so we will be celebrating my 29th birthday!

No plans this v-day – just staying home with the kids!

We don’t typically do a big v-day celebration, but we have plans to go camping the weekend before!

I’ll be spending it at home with my two boys-my husband and 8 month old son!

I am going to be spending Valentines Day with my wonderful and amazing friends. We will be celebrating our current and future happiness.

Haven’t even thought about it. Might offer to babysit for some friends so they can have a date.

I also decorate my children’s bedroom doors with heart telling all the reasons we love them. There are so excited to read them on Valentine’s morning. There also a special heart shaped note in their lunch boxes.

Sadly, we have responsibilities on the 14th… but we are taking a rain check for a little later and going out to Banff for a weekend!

Our plans are still in the works : ) As a former v day hater I’m trying to put together some fun plans which are memorable and meaningful. Though it might have to include an action flick which comes out that weekend (per my hubs).

Probably out to a restaurant with my hubby of thirty-five years. And, a bottle of wine.

I will most likely be spending the day with three little sweeties (twin 2 year olds and a 9 month old, all girls) making cookies for our favorite guy, daddy.

This year maybe my husband and I will go to dinner. We have two small children and don’t EVER get to do anything. If not we will spend it as a family.

Well, single for the last ten years means that this year will be wonderful with my grade 2/3 class during the day and then a wonderful dinner with my thirteen year old daughter. I am not sure what I will make, but I can assure you that it will be good.

My daughter is very excited for Valentine’s Day. We are planning a little Mommie/Daughter party the Saturday before with a few of her classmates and their mommies … We’ll have a fun craft (either thumbprint hearts on a mug or t-shirt), chocolate treats, red hots and cupcakes. As for the 14th, it’ll be a quiet, special dinner evening with our little family, celebrating our love for each other.

Well I’ve already *swooned* over the new bracelet … so moving on to the question. When is Valentine’s day? Hmmm, let me check … A Monday? Really … well maybe we can celebrate for 3 days then. I suspect my sweets and I will go on a date, not necessarily fancy, but something we both like and really just being together is great. Then Monday will be geared more toward me showing my boys love with some yummy baked goods, a few treats and maybe a heart shaped pizza for dinner?

My daughter and I will make homemade valentines for her class. My family, we like to keep it simple and have a sit down homemade dinner and a movie together. Actually, hubby and I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day…instead we celebrate the day we first met…27 years ago and still celebrating!!

We are pretty simple on Valentine’s Day. Special little treats throughout the day…. we order in dinner… then a movie once we tuck our girls in.

I’m thinking pizza, snuggling and watching a movie sounds like a perfect Valentine’s Day (I’m easy!).

We will be celebrating with our small group…a Valentine theme to our regular Monday night community of dinner together with 3 other families!

We don’t do much – we’ll exchange cards and chocolates, eat dinner together, and that’s about it. But I’d let him give me some jewelry if he insisted! LOL

No Idea-My daughter has a boyfriend, my son is working on acquiring a girlfriend and I…well…

I have no idea how I’ll be celebrating Valentine’s day. Sooooo, I really need to win. It will give me a reason to celebrate.

I will be starting off the day at the dentist. Lucky me :). Then we will probably just spend the night at home with our three boys. We will possibly go out to lunch together since it is hard to go out to eat with our son with special needs. He prefers to stay home, and sometimes that is much easier– especially on a holiday!!

My husband has been working out of state for several months and will be back home just in time for Valentine’s Day. I’m thinking we may just have a nice, home-cooked dinner and get used to him being home again.

I usually work very occasionally at a flower shop (Flowers by Sleeman) but our busiest time of the year is Valentine’s Day! So I will be working full time in the four days leading up to Valentine’s Day plus until at least 5:30 on the day itself!! Love it!! Love it!!

We are going to start the day with a Hershey Kiss hunt for our girls: 10 kisses each, a different color for each girl. How fun! I make chocolate truffles ahead of time, so those are usually shared and snacked on. I’ll call my BFF to wish her a “Happy Friend’s Day!,” my husband and girls and I will have a picnic in the living room, ending with a chocolate dessert. Then the kids go to bed and we watch a romantic comedy on Netflix, my choice (!!) every year. I <3 that day!!! Happy Valentine's Day, Lisa!

I don’t know what our plans are for V-day. Hubby is taking me on a cruise for my birthday (which is a month later!) so we will probably go low key for Valentines…just red pancakes for the kiddos for breakfast!

We usually agree on a joint gift–haven’t decided for this year but one year we bought a triple shower head and we still enjoy it!

This valentines, if we are still home and not in Russia (picking up our sweet little girl!), I actually requested a date painting our kitchen cabinets! I’ll be having a date with my 3rd year old little stud-muffin! My hubby will be traveling for work and my son and I are going to go out to his favorite restrauant and then a movie. It honestly doesn’t get much better than that, does it?

For the past several years my husband sets up a date for us at a restaurant that is usually only open for lunch. The chef makes us a special 4 course Valentine dinner and we have the whole restaurant to ourselves – sooooo fun!!! Valentine’s Day is extra special because my husband’s birthday is on Feb. 13, so we celebrate our love and his life at the same time.=)
P.S. I got my first LLD necklace for Christmas and absolutely love it!!!! I already have my order in for a 2nd one.

Some wine and a candlelight dinner! We’ll be married 25 years this year and that is something to celebrate!

I will be decorating our kitchen table full of red hearts and making special meals for my boys—- heart shaped and red things as much as possible. We will talk a lot about love and who we love and are thankful for, and we will make sweet cards for our friends.

Valentine’s day will be spend with my 20 kiddos, no no I do not have 20 children of my own, I am a teacher. We will be celebrating friendships with nice letters, and some sweet treats, and crafts.

Mr. and I are not huge Valentine’s people. We never have been. We feel that although it’s nice to have one day to celebrate your love, we celebrate our love everyday! Usually we cook a nice meal together, and have a nice bottle of wine by the fireplace.

My hubby and I will have a date night on the 12th and our family will have a nice heart day dinner at home. We may even eat by candlelight this year!

We have a Valentine’s Day tradition of eating at Waffle House, odd but it’s wonderful!

Everyday is Valentine’s Day at my house. Okay, maybe not, but in theory it should be. My husband will give me a ridiculously silly card and I will do the same. We will enjoy a meal with our daughters and be reminded of all that we love about each other!

Since Valentine’s Day is Monday it probably won’t be as exciting as other years but hopefully my husband and I will get to go out to dinner (at a new restaurant in town) and we’ll probably do some fun things with the kids like making cookies, putting gift bags and cards together for their classmates and getting them a “heart shaped box of chocolate” as is customary! Love the new bracelet!!!

well that is my dads birthday. so we will probably say happy birthday and suc. but other than that. i don’t go out.

On Valentine’s day I’m getting on a plane with hubby for a vacation in Aruba. I’m so excited! Great way to celebrate our love………in the sunshine!

This Valentines Day will be our 7th Valentines Day together and we plan on staying in, cooking dinner together and watching a movie. I am also excited because I starting teaching this year and have many fun projects planned for my students for Valentines Day!

We always have a special Valentines breakfast for the kids. We decorate the table, serve all of their favorites (heart pancakes, of course), and give each child a small gift. That leaves the evening free for sweetheart celebrating. Hurray!

I would love to spend Valentine’s Day with my husband–doing whatever he would like. We work different shifts during the week so I don’t get to see him as often as I would like so the time we have together is precious.

I make heart shaped pancakes for my kiddos every year for Valentine’s Day. A tradition passed down from my Mom.

Well some of us call it Singles Awareness Day 😛 ILH! I have two friends that have birthday’s the day before and the day of V day so I am planning on making a special care package for each of them and I am so excited about it!

Ever since we were first married and money was always tight, hubby and I always splurged a bit on ingredients and cooked a Valentine’s meal together. It was cheaper than going out and more special because we did it together. Even since things have gotten a little easier financially we still stick to our annual Valentine’s cooking tradition.

My 4th baby and 4th daughter was born on February 15. a scheduled C-Section – as far away as I could get it from her 2 sisters’ b’days and also not on Valentine’s Day. I wanted her to have her own celebration. That was in 1988. I’ll celebrate V-Day with hearts for my 6 grandchildren 4 girls and thinking about my baby being born 23 years ago.

we will spend our day secretly delivering little “i love you’s” to friends and neighbors around town. we love the ding dong ditch ’em idea of leaving a little chocolate surprise for a friend!

I’ll probably spend it by going to my nephews’ and niece’s school for Valentine parties! 4 of them! Yay! That means quadruple the cupcakes and balloons!

I’ll be spending Valentine’s Day helping out at my oldest daughter’s class party in the morning. The rest of the day will be spent making lots of Valentine sweets and crafts with all three of my kids!

Our Valentine’s plans include staying at our favorite B & B along the shores of Lake Superior and eating out at one of our favorite restaurants. I can’t wait for this fun event as I’m going in for surgery next week and am very frightened as I’ve never been through this before!

Praying we’ll be celebrating it with our adopted child, or at least receive some news by then! Either way, we’ll celebrate it — there’s much to celebrate!

My dh will be out of town, so I’ll do something fun with the kiddos.

I am doing a Parent’s Night Out for the parents at my church so they can go out…so, I’ll be spending it with lots of kiddos and pizza and a movie, I am sure!!

I’ll be spending it with my hubby at home. We’ll probably make dinner together, hang out & enjoy the evening!

Since it’s on a Monday this year and a school night, we’ll probably just spend a cozy evening at home as a family. We’ve been crafting away around here and sprucing up a little. The house always feels so drab after the holidays! Of course, I’ll be attending a little school party for my oldest and I’ll share a little Valentine surprise with the kiddos back at home….maybe some cupcakes or brownies…and a little ice cream. Love the new bracelet. I have so many of your things now that I feel like a gypsy trying to wear them all at once!

Since it is a school day, and we’re not allowed to have a party, I’ll be sneaking in little treats throughout the day for my students 🙂

And this is my first married Valentines Day, so we’ll see what my husband decides 🙂

I’m not sure of our exact plans yet, but I know I’ll be with my husband! It’s our first married Valentine’s Day! 🙂

i love to get surprises for the kids too, not just for my husband….share the love. and my birthday is the day after, so more celebrating.

Since Valentine’s Day is also my birthday, I usually celebrate both at home with my husband.

I love buying the little candy hearts in boxes for everyone, with all the words on them. I love words….

Celebrating, (and thanking God for getting us through the rough times), 35 years of marriage, 3 wonderful children, and 7 grandchildren. 🙂

The hubs and I will have just moved to VA the week before Valentines Day, so I’m looking forward to scouting out the area once we get there for a fun place to spend Valentines evening! This will be our last V-day without children, and as much as we are looking forward to being parents, I want this last year of just us to be really special! :]

Valentine’s Day has always been extra special as it is our oldest son’s birthday. Granted he is all grown up now – will turn 27 this year – but is always a great day to celebrate.

We most likely will celebrate by all driving up to visit our youngest son at college and take both boys, our DIL and future DIL all out for dinner.

i never really enjoyed celebrating valentine’s day, until we had our kids. now we have a celebration for them, get them a few little gifts and everything we make for the whole day is in the shape of a heart and has red and white sprinkles on it….literally, everything! hubby and i decorate the house a bit while the boys are asleep the night before, the boys do valentine’s for their classes and send a couple extra to grandparents, we all wear red of some sort, it has become one of my favorite holidays. funny how having kids can do that to you. Enjoy your weekend!

my husband’s birthday is the 7th and my daughter’s and my birthday is the 17th, so valentine’s day is always low key at our house.
usually some heart shaped candy is eaten and a fun dinner together at home.

We are going to have our traditional Valentine’s dinner- homemade pepperoni pizza with the pepperonis cut into hearts. Yum!

Making our favorite frosted sugar cookies, calling our daughter at college to wish her a Happy Valentine’s Birthday (best “valentine” I ever received), and then going out to dinner with my hubby.

We spend the evening at home and share a nice meal. We like being home just spending time together.

I am spending Valentines day this year with my 3 favorite guys, my husband and 2 boys! We will go to their parties at their school, and then off to a local pizza parlor that makes heart shaped pizza for the day!

I love valentines day and celebrating my beautiful daughter Ashton’s birthday, this year she will be 12 and we just moved from Minnesota to Arizona so it will be immediate family and definitely outside!

My birthday’s the 12th so I am always celebrating and pretending all the hearts are all for ME!

Our sweet daughter’s birthday is the day after Valentine’s. So ever since her birth in 1989, Valentine’s Day has been some sort of celebration of Rebekah’s birthday. (Our youngest will be 9 on the 20th of Feb.) It’s safe to say we’ll be celebrating birthdays.

This will be the last Valentine’s Day with just my hubby and I, since we are about to have a baby! I think we’ll celebrate with a low-key dinner and some chocolate cake. But, I’m looking forward to years where it’s a family celebration of love. I just read a book where the family all wrote letters to each other on Valentine’s Day, letting them know what they appreciated about each member of the family. I love that idea!

All my years growing up at home, Valentine’s Day was a beautiful celebration….candlelight dinner, sweet presents, fancy dishes, and wonderful family conversation.

I am hoping to carry that same tradition into my new family…with my husband and baby girl. 🙂
