A couple weeks ago i set David’s straw cup on the coffee table and went to grab something. He went over and started sipping on his own. When he accidentally knocked the cup over, he set it upright on.his.own!! It’s a small thing, but wherever he gains independence we see growth & spirit. I don’t hold David on my lap to drink any more. I just set the cup down for him and let him sip when ever he likes. Go David!!
And yes, that is dust on the table behind him…yikes!!
who cares about dust when your little guy is doing such big things! woo hoo!!!!
He is such a precious little individual.God bless him, and you, his family.
Yay! This is so huge! It’s so fun to see how far he has come from when I used to babysit the boys all the time. So cool! Don’t you wish you could call the doctor who delivered him and share all this! π Love you guys!!!
He’s such a precious boy! And don’t worry about the dust – it’s helping the rest of us feel better about our dust π
How exciting!!! Go David, indeed! What a dude!

I feel blessed to have come across your blog. I feel like a better person for sharing in your insight while you raise your wonderful, special family. It keeps my perspectives where they belong.
I also feel the presence of such love at this meeting place π Thanks for reminding us that there are still people who care so deeply and are so supportive of eachother!
Happy Thanksgiving to you all.

This definitely calls for celebrating! Go, David, go!

You have every reason to celebrate his victory. Now, you are bringing hopes for other parents as well. Congrats!
Seriously, where is the dust? I can’t see it anywhere!!! Are you joking?
It’s hard to believe David is the same little guy we all knew 6 years ago!!
It truly is the “small” things in life that matter…we need to enjoy every moment!
Happy Thanksgiving!!
Amy
I enjoy your blog so much!

Yippee for David. You are such a cool kid. We are so proud of you and so grateful for you!
Isn’t Steve in charge of dusting?
Go David!!! What a major victory for the big guy. Way to go!
Yeah David! We have the exact sippy cup at our house. Dust, I don’t see any dust (that is me with my clean house glass lenses on!)
Oh, such a swweet thing to share with us. Just a little something extra to remember as we give thanks!
Kudos for not trying to crop out the dust! I probably couldn’t take a picture in this house without dust being in it! π
Congrats, I know all to well how much those little victories mean!! Congrats to David.
How exciting! Good for you Mr. David….. we’re all so proud of you!
Fan-tas-tic!!!
And, by the way, if we were all concentrating on the dust in our homes, wouldn’t we be missing out on the important stuff? Glad to see you have dust too – π
It is always cause for celebration to see children blossom in their parent’s garden.
You have tended & captured it quite well.
Dust? Well, it just goes with the territory.
That’s great! I was so excited the other day when I realized my Blue could go AAAHH and OOOOO. So I know how you feel:)
Have a great holiday!
Go, David!!! Thanks for sharing his “small thing.” I know it really is a big thing indeed.
I’m glad to see the dust. Heaven knows we battle it here! This picture shows that you’re paying attention to the bigger picture… the successes of your child not the dust on the table. That’s the stuff that actually matters.
Hooray for David! We love small victories too.
I would never have noticed the dust if you hadn’t pointed it out! π We fight a losing battle with dust in this house.
I love all your arty farty photography, and of course your jewellery, but nothing beats seeing photos of the boys at their happiest, and moreso, seeing David’s beautiful and infectious smile and records of his triumphs!
GO DAVID!!!!!!!WOOO HOOO
(and dust doesn’t hurt anyone!!!)
So sweet, i love it when you share David’s victories, so wonderfully encourageing!!! He is so precious, thank you for letting us have a glimpse of what God is doing in his beautiful life, and yours!
Go David! That first picture is such a sweet, tender one.
