live a simple life, slow days, homemade dinners with homemade desserts, sunlight filtering in the windows, kids running and playing outside. oh maybe i should mention, in this fantasy, i wouldn’t be the one working on the farm, more like a farm bed and breakfast. hmmm, maybe just for a week?
I have those fantasies as well. except that my fantasy is in a craftsman style home in the middle of the woods…lovely.
Oh, sounds fabulous! Can I go too?
hi!
is this barn off the 46 on the way to shandon? wow, it looks just like one out by us!lovely!
Wouldn’t it be nice!!
I’m in.
…the farmhouse has been completely rennovated right? Jetted tub? Plush furniture? Maybe we have some work to do before our long weekend away. 🙂
that sounds lovely:)Although I would miss starbucks and target too:)
Can I come along too? My dream is to have a farm bed and breakfast!
Sure sounds good to me!
sigh…
Looks so peaceful and we all could use some of that!
nothin’ wrong with dreamin’ a little dream every now and again. we need to get away, and your photo reminds me of a very fabulous long weekend we took to lone mountain ranch in montana almost 10 years ago.
back to reality…have to figure out dinner.
beautiful picture 🙂 I think I want to come
Or just for a long weekend???
Lisa I bought a necklace from you for my sister. Her son’s broke it and she sent it back and you fixed it right up and got it back to her! You have amazing customer service! Thank you so much! My sister loved the necklace AND the pearl earrings you put in! You are amazing! THank you!
I actually live this life! And I agree…it would definitely have to be a bed and breakfast because cooking 3 squares a day for 5 boys and one hard working husband is not simple or restful!!! Then there’s the clean up of the whole thing! HOWEVER, I do love my life and I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world!!! Thank you for reminding me how much I love my simply chaotic life!
I wouldn’t mind the farm work… I think it probably the best way of life… Growing your stuff… Animals… A tractor… Oh boy… It was very nice indeed.
Your dream is beautiful. I am with you for the week though. The grass may be greener as Shan stated but it still has to be mowed. 🙂
Hi, I’m a “new” reader, and I don’t often comment. I had to this morning though, because your post cracked me up!
*Sigh, your dream is my reality. I am a farmers wife in the wheat fields of Colorado. While it’s not homeade dinners and desserts everyday, thats known to happen. I have to say though, there are days I find myself yearning for Starbucks and a Target, or to go to a museum, or the zoo…
The grass is always greener huh?
Ahhhhh take me with you!!!!!!
Oh, I will join you. Just for the week though. 😉
