Although I see so many blessings in my life, some days I just want to wrap a feather comforter around me and hide away. Anything from a difficult diagnosis to a bad hair day can make me feel overwhelmed. And it seems to hit out of nowhere. I remember when David was born…
it’s my day to post at (in)courage. you can read the rest of this post over here…
It was a beautiful post Lisa! So grateful to be part of such an amazing group of women like you!!
Oh yes, and I just love your jewelry!
So glad to have found your sight (also through Soulemama). I have a special child as well and there are those days I don’t know how to face it all. Thankfully, I don’t have to:) I just keep re-committing it all into the Lord’s hands. I’ll pray for your son and your unique journey with him.
Thank you for sharing this – I have just today discovered your site (through Soule Mama) and have been amazed at your beautiful creations. I too was born with only two fingers on one hand (right) and a thumb, I won’t tell you my entire story, but I spent my whole childhood wanting to meet “someone like me” and never did. I have now, long, come to the place where I am no longer ashamed of my hand (am right handed and so it is visible a lot) and have come through not being able to look at my hand myself, to actually being comfortable showing it to those who ask. I am now a Mum with twin daughters and before that had a very successful career – I can testify to the positive side of my disability, as well as the tough times. Because of it, with God’s help, I am strong, determined and very empathetic. My Mum has come through feeling guilty – (there was never anything for her to feel guilty about). I do relate to wanting to hide away with a comforter sometimes too!
AT least you’re wrapped in your comforter with the nicest pedicure in your feet!!! lol…
I understand what you mean and also the only way for me to go ahead is to smile and… hide even more down my comforter…
I can relate to this post 100%!!!! I often have to stop and say….. ok, just start over from right now!!!!
BIG HUGS!!!
Julie

I can definatley relate, about once a month actually! hmmmm…the best remedy, I found, is a glass of wine and a good movie, (once the kiddies have gone to sleep of course!).
Exactly what I needed during my Monday morning lull! Thanks for sharing!
Great to meet you two Sundays ago when I was greeting w/Susan…praying for your family while Pastor Steve is away!
