My younger son does the exactly same thing when it come to mouth mouth. I had to ask him what s the number he wanted me to count before putting a mouth wash in his mouth– then he will cooperate everything.
It’s amazing what the kids’ are thinking in their own odd ways.

Matty likes to ask for a certain number of things, but he’s not sure if he receives that number. Last weekend, he asked for 20 “popcorns”. Susan gave him some and he was satisfied.
