i got to have coffee with my sweet friend, Jen and absolutely could not help taking pictures of little Gracie playing on the kitchen counter.
As one of the special education teacher, have you thought about having David to do light job shadowing with an aide? For example, bringing the mails to the teacher. It will help him to know where are the buildings more and get to know the staff more.
I have a first grader, who is deaf and almost NO language. I do have him pick the dead plants out in the trash from the garden. He is learning to know the difference between dead and alive plants: color flowers, dry/wet, dirt/grass, etc.
If you are interested to get more of my ideas, please feel free to email me: [email protected]
In the meantime, I wish you the best of luck on Thursday meeting. I am sure things will work it out.
What a doll!
Today the CdLS-KIDS blog challenge is to visit 10 CdLS blogs and comment on them. I just wanted to say that I enjoy your blog and subscribe to it on my Google reader. Thanks for the beautiful photos and the knowledge that there are other families out there coping and enjoying life with their little ones just like my daughter.
She absolutely is darling 🙂 What a sweet baby girl. 🙂
I am empathizing with you on the school placement. We are still struggling to get Abbi settled in with her IEP & Autism classroom and school started on the 15th!!
I hope things settle in for you guys soon! (((HUGS)))

lisa – prayers for you in the loss of your grandma – also, i read your post and other readers comments about david and just wanted to thank you for that post! 🙂 i work in a school system facing budget cuts and because of that, i was "dis-placed" from my secretarial position which i LOVED and now have a 1/2 time secretarial position, but also, a 1/2 time 1:1 position. in my complaining about losing the job i love, i have neglected to pray for the boy i will will be working with, 1:1 every afternoon – your post reminded me that "t" has a mommy who loves him, want the best for him and needs an aide that will be an advocate for him when she can't be there – with the LORD'S help, and thanks to your gentle reminder, i want to be that person in his life! 🙂 your post was a great reminder and i hope that you & your little guy find someone who will love him and be his FRIEND and helper at school when you can't be there with him! 🙂 have a wonderful week! 🙂
p.s., LOVE your jewelry and have bookmarked your site for my hubby & daughters to christmas/birthday shop from! 🙂
Love the second photo, even though all of them are beautiful, as was your model, but the second photo made me want to kiss that round little belly!
Warmly,
Leslie G.
Genuine friends are the best! This baby girl is DARLING!!! I am so sorry for the loss of your grandmother.
Oh, I love babies!!
orable. Nothing like little babies.
She is darling, and you are a wonderful photographer!
She is adorable!! I bet she has that sweet baby smell too 🙂
so cute!!
Beautiful child! I love their fat little tummys!
Oh Lisa! You surely need something “pink” in your life. Ha! Ha! Just think how cute she would be (especially if she had your curly locks)
Hang tight with the advocating for your child in school thing. It is tough and it is tiring but needful. I am the parent of a child who is deaf and she wears a cochlear implant and this week she started K. I feel like I have been fighting our school district for years to get her where she is today. You seem to be surrounding by an amazing support group and your faith will continue to be your constant companion.
I found your blog from your design sight. Your children are beautiful and I absolutly love your jewlery!!!! Im going to start saving so I can get one, my brother passed away and I thought it would be special to get my siblings and mother one with his name. Do you ever do specials if you order more. I have 7 siblings?
