first of all..THANK YOU to everyone who is participating in the giveaway–I am shocked to see how many people read our blog. Thanks for your sweet comments, too!! If you haven’t posted yet, you have until 7pm tonight.
We hung out with some friends at the park recently. Max & Matty play so well together and really love each other (they prove it by kissing each other’s boo boos and hugging good-bye). And Jen & I love to sit and chat while they play.
David is getting back to himself, but is still pretty mellow and snuggly. He finally went back to school yesterday. His teachers were so excited to see him. What a blessing! And I am ready to get back into my regular routine!!
Crazy story–
The other night Steve and I were watching TV when we heard some scratching at the garage door. The previous owners had a cat door installed and we haven’t replaced the door. We thought maybe a cat had gotten into the garage, but when we went to investigate, we found a THREE INCH COCKROACH scratching at the back door. Let me REITERATE we HEARD a cockroach while we were watching TV!!! We never see cockroaches around here–where did it come from? I think I might be traumatized!!
Since when are their cockroaches on the central coast?! That’s crazy! Darin loves to tell the story about when they had a giant potato bug scratch at their door when they lived in Los Osos. Maybe it’s all those leaking septic tanks creating mutant bugs. =) YUCK!!!
scratch, scratch, let me in! Maybe roachie just wanted to visit. Sometimes I try to be brave when it comes to bugs but I’m basically a total wimp. Sorry that happened to you.
um, EW!!!!! I HATE bugs! I hope you disposed of it quickly…
The boys look so cute, glad that they have such a wonderful friendship.
Yay for David going back to school! So happy to hear that he is recovering well.
Lisa, imagine this…when newly married in the early 90’s, we lived in Sydney in an old, old “flat”(ie:a complete dump.) HUGE cockroaches like the one at your door are commonplace there. Anyway, i was sitting on our bed reading, wearing just a tshirt when all of the sudden i felt something scurrying across one thigh then down and up my other thigh before it ran across to the other side of the bed. I SCREAMED, threw my book, and LEPT across the room. It took me a long time to calm down. Mark still laughs about that story today!
Oh that is SICK. Eew, ew, ew, ew, ew!!!!
OMG…that gives me the willies!
YUCK! I would freak out if I saw that at my door!
Max and Matty are SOOO cute!
You should have gotten a pic of that cockroach mutant.
Please post a picture of your new furniture!
yuck! i might be traumatized too for imagining that story!
