a few days in solvang and a few in carpinteria. lots of time to play and relax.
mr. sandhands…bring me a dream.
pretty sure david does not want to get his feet wet.
david walked blocks and blocks around santa barbara and carpinteria.
ahhh, love a big, soft bed! and a sleepy boy, too.
browsing around the bookstore.
to be honest, coming home feels really hard. i loved the slow pace and lazy schedule. i always feel overwhelmed jumping back into real life. oh well, ready or not…here I go!!
I just stumbled on your blog and I’m eager to read more. We moved from Carpinteria to Portland, Oregon a couple of years ago and while we love it here, we miss our beachy small-town home. I hope you had a good vacation!

Enjoy the time off! It is so well deserved! Get as many extra cuddles and snuggles in while you can!
We’re so looking forward to ours in October…our kids are in year-round school so summer tends to flit by in a frantic pace…but October…lots of time for exploration…counting the days!
Oh for a vacation! I’m glad you guys had so much fun.
Ben does the same thing with his feet to keep them from getting wet!
what a glorious couple of days of relaxation and family time. I love the sandy hands picture!
we are off to santa barbara next weekend. have any suggestions where to stay?
love your blog, love your words, love your pic’s. love it all.
going through some difficult times right now, your blog is uplifting. thanks
sooo cute. glad you had a great time!
I always love seeing your pics!
Ahh, that looks so fun. The boys are so handsome. Glad you enjoyed.
Loving the pictures, Lisa. Seeing little David reminds me so much of Sean. I miss those cute little jeans, cute little shoes. His, of course, are still cute but not tiny like they used to be. Can’t wait to see more!!
Have a great day.

Absolutely love the picture of Matty in the bed. So precious. I’m glad you all had fun.
I love the looking at the pictures you take; you’re so talented, and take the neatest pictures. You find the right shot for everything! If you’d go back and read all of my other posts, then you would know that the pictures with David are my favorite. I just love his tininess (if that’s a word), and his sweetness just oozes through the screen at you. I think Matty is adorable, too, but for some reason, David gets my heart.
We just got back from vacation, too, and it was really hard trying to get back in to the swing of things around home. It’s always so much more fun to relax!! 🙂
Great pics. Love the one of Matty in the bed. I think I’m going to go crawl into mine right now.
Hang in there with the transition back to reality.
Miss you so!
