we are blessed…

I wanted to create a necklace that would describe the impact david has had on our lives, and the word that came to mind was ‘blessed’. We cried real tears when david was born, I felt like I would never experience joy again. But I was SO wrong! This child has brought so much love and happiness to our family. He touches those around him. He is a blessing that came in an unexpected way. So, through July, I am selling these necklaces to benefit the cdls foundation in honor of david’s fifth birthday. (can he really be turning FIVE?!) They are only $38 each and $10 from the sale of each necklace will go to the foundation. They are strung on 18″ sterling ball chain and have a sweet sterling heart. I am also giving away TWO of these sweet necklaces. So leave a comment and tell us about an unexpected blessing in your life. On Saturday I will randomly choose a winner! Go ahead, stock up! These make great gifts for new moms, good friends or anyone who has experienced blessing AND its for a good cause!

  1. Lisa, I got my necklace yesterday and I love it. When Baylee gets challenging it reminds me that I’m blessed.

  2. Lisa, blessings come in small ways and someone had your blog on their blog and I connected that way. I ordered one of your necklaces and loved it, I wear it everyday. I am blessed to have found your blog. Carrie

  3. I am blessed by my family…my son and husband make me want to be a better person everyday. I am blessed by my Faith. And I am blessed by the people HE is bringing into my life who help me appreciate every detail. Nitty Gritty told me to drop by and say hi! You are the most inspirational women. I just love your work. It’s gorgeous beyond words.

  4. I love the necklace…I love all of your necklaces.
My blessing is my son. He is 5 years old and has Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome. Every day I have with him has made me a better, more patient, more understanding, loving and grateful person. I no longer hold out for the “big things” in life…trips or money or things like that….I hold out for the small things in life…the smiles I get from him from time to time…the days where he’s alert more than he’s sleeping and the times when he lets my husband and I snuggle him. Those are the things that make me wake up everyday…the things that make my life wonderful.
He’s an amazing child. I couldn’t be more proud to call him mine.

  5. What a beautiful necklace. I too have a son with CdLS.He is 27 and resides in a group home. We are blessed for such a wonderful place. We are blessed the staff, at the group home, has become extended family. I know all to well the tears and exceptional joy a child, with CdLS, brings. In February, my mother was diagnosed with an uncommon and incurable form of leukemia. The doctors did not believe she would live another two months at time diagnosis. We are blessed that five months later she is doing better. We are blessed that my family was given an opportunity to let my mother know what she means to us. We are also blessed that we have been given the opportunity to ask for forgiveness. We are blessed that my family is so much closer now. My sister, sister-in-law, my daughter, and myself will all be purchasing one. This is so my mother will see everyday what we feel. The reason behind the design brought tears to my eyes as will the reason for wearing it. These will be blessed tears of joy.

  6. Just found your blog via the CdLS Foundation and I too plan to order one of your great necklaces. Your David is such a cutie and reminds me of my son Josh, who has CdLS and just celebrated his 18th birthday yesterday! Seems not that long ago that our world was temporarily bleak, dark and frightening at the thought of raising a special child. What a blessing this boy has been.

  7. I’m writing because I’d love to give this awsome piece of jewelry to my sister. She and her husband were faced with the devastating news that he was unable to father childern one year into their marriage. Now, six years later and with a bit of help ( a large bit of help) from medicine and doctors, she is pregnant with her first baby! It’s taken four years but she is floating on cloud nine! I would love to present her with this token of love from me that really signifies how I feel for her and I’m certain how she feels every moment of the day since finding out! Gods love is wonderful! And I thank Him for blessing these two kind, loving people with a baby.

  8. This touches me so….I’m not sure how I stumbled across your website, but am so glad that I did. I just opened a new Scrapbook store and would love to help you raise money for this wonderful cause. Can you give me more information on getting these in my store.

  9. Happy 5th birthday David. I’m a bit late with the necklace competition but I wanted to say I know *exactly* what you mean when you say what a blessing and what joy David brings to your life. Sonny is my ray of sunshine. He also brings out the best in others. So many locals ask about him and I know one local woman prays for him every night. I don’t know her but she knows my in-laws. So sweet.
You simply can’t be miserable when Sonny is in the room. He’s my blessing x

  10. I am so blessed to have the life that I am living. It is so true what they say: If everyone’s trials were piled up in a huge pile, I would most definately take mine back. Heavenly Father knows what we are capable of handling.

  11. oh how right you are!! my daughter has Rett syndrome and most people can’t imagine the depth of joy Claire has brought to us. We are truly blessed to have such angels in our lives! I also make jewelry and that is a great idea for fund raising. We truly are the lucky ones!

  12. Lisa~
The comments and stories left here are amazing to read! I have loved them and to me it just shows how awesome God is. That He loves us and gives us challenges in life, and while being with us through them, He allows so many people to come through hardships shining and feeling blessed on the ‘other side’ of them. What testaments these experiences are to God’s amazing ways and grace to each of us in our own ways…and to others who look at us and see Him! Thank you for your blog, your heart, your compassion, and the way you ‘give to others’. YOU are a blessing to many! =)

  13. I feel that we are all blessed everyday. We just have to open our minds and see that blessings are the little things we see everyday!

  14. I am a recent finder of your blog and I love it and your jewelery too! While I could go on and on about my blessings (my two sons — one of them is on the autistic spectrum) what I really want to ask is that if you pick me, you will give the necklace to Heather:

    http://www.especiallyheather.com/

I have been following her journey and her faith has been a great inspiration to me. I know the necklace would brighten her days and mean so much to her. She deserves it!

  15. New to your blog and loving it.

My blessing is that I was diagnosed at 28 with cervical cancer. I am now 36 and have been cancer free for 5 years now. I am so fortunate to have gotten the lessons so early on as to what is important in life. Cars you drive, name brand on jeans, putting career first….it all doesn’t matter. At 28 I got the light bulb moment most people take a lifetime to get. I got the lesson of life. I was aware of really what mattered.

I am happily married, have a great sister and parents and two nephews that are the love of my life. I cherish every moment and don’t take one thing for granted.

I thank my cancer for letting me know life is too short to sweat the small stuff.

  16. I have wanted something JUST like this for so long! I am a Leukemia survivor and was given 6 weeks to live when I was first diagnosed at age 10. I now have an amazing husband and two BEAUTIFUL daughters that we were told would never come! I would feel very “blessed” to receive this. I have been wanting to order one that says Blessed and Survivor! I LOVE your jewelry.

  17. I love the necklace . What a beautiful daily reminder of how blessed we are. My unexpected blessing was my horrible car accident November of last year. It taught me to be strong and appreciate the little things i took for granted. Thanks for the giveaway!

  18. Lisa,
I too found your blog quite by accident and I love reading it! You have a beautiful family and I feel that I have learned so much from you already.
I love your jewelry! My friend is expecting any day and I plan on ordering a necklace for her when we know the baby’s name.
I have found blessings in an unexpected way. I had been ill for quite some time, and my doctor couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me. I was beginning to get very down, wondering and worrying. After months of speculation, testing and hypothesis, I was diagnosed with an adult form of Muscular Dystrophy. I am so grateful! For knowing finally what it is, because it could have been much worse, because I have the support of a loving family and friends. Living with this disease is a challenge and one that will in all likelyhood become more of a challenge for me, but I can’t help but feel blessed. As I look at my life and all that I have, I know that God has given me so much! At 45 I’ve been blessed with my husband, children a beautiful grandaughter,my familly, a wonderful church family and so much more. I see God’s blessings every day and feel His presence in my life.

  19. Hi Lisa,

I found your blog from Jody Ferlaak’s. Love the necklace you did for her, so very “Jody”. As I sat and thought about all the blessings I have in my life, the big and small ones. Husband, three beautiful children and so much more, I kept coming back to something that has been on my heart for awhile. I am blessed because of the family God gave me.

My grandparents where married for 55 years before my grandmother died. She was such a prayer warrior for me and all my cousins. My grandpa died a little over a year ago and we miss him so much. They left an amazing legacy for their 6 children, 12 grandchildren, and so far 13 great grandchildren. I am blessed to know that all my aunts, uncles and cousins are saved. We LOVE to all get together and have such fun.

So thankyou for reminding me to be thankful, we have so much! Our freedom, our beautiful country, our lives and especially our families.

  20. I never had kids or a husband or much family.
But now (I turned 50 this February) I finally know that I’m blessed with the personal strengh being able to jump on my feet again, no matter the downs before. I hope I can bring some sparkle into this world.

Wish you a nice weekend for you and your beautiful family
    :-Tally-:

  21. I’m blessed to have found this blog in the first place . . . I look at it daily just to see the progress your little boy is making. You are a remarkable woman and you inspire me to want to be a better person. THANK YOU.

  22. First off, I must agree that your jewlery is beautiful and unique… just what I have been looking for!

    Everyones blessings are very inspiring.

Four years ago, I was in the midst of a rare bone disorder that ended in an amputation. I went through it alone as my parents and siblings were thousands of miles away and I was single. I recovered, became healthy and met my husband and fell in love… hard and fast.

Fast forward to present, I am now a wife and a mother of two healthy boys (2 years and 3 weeks). I love all three of my boys with every ounce of energy I have got. I am blessed to be able to stay home with my sons and watch them grow.

It is a life I wasn’t sure I would ever have or a lifestyle I ever really ever wanted. Today, I love my life, every single moment… and I know that I am truly blessed.

  23. I am blessed by a wonderful family! I am extremely blessed by the fact that I have a husband who works so hard so that I can be a stay home mommy for my little man.

Many times in life I have wondered why God has put different people and terrible things (like being carjacked) in my life, but over the years, I have learned to view them as “blessings in disguise”. They only serve to bring you closer to Him and grow stronger as a person.

Thank you Lisa for your wonderful blog!

  24. I was blessed with the birth of my third, and last baby two weeks ago. It has been a magical time for our family as we have experienced, been reminded of, and shared the joy a new baby brings to a family with our other two children. I can’t stop thinking that these are the best days of my life, if only I could bottle them up and keep them forever!

  25. Your blog and your family is such an inspiration. I purchased on of your necklaces and have been a loyal blog reader ever since. I truly believe that God has a reason for everything He does and blessings come in all forms. Last summer, I found out that my husband and father of my son was dealing with a drug problem. The shock and the anger of the deciet involved caused me to pack up my son and move to my parents’ house. We were headed towards divorce and it was the darkest time of all our lives. We decided to give things another chance and boy it was hard!! But, it has been a year now and our entire lives have changed. We are so much stronger for what we went through. We have become best friends and so open with each other now! Hardship really can be a blessing in disguise.

  26. I have been blessed by God’s mercy and grace more times than I can even begin to recount. I have 3 children, each with his/her own special need. My oldest, age 11, has mild Tourette Syndrome, my middle, age 8, was a very severe medical needs baby and there was a specific time that we almost lost him. We were told that he should have never lived from birth and there was no medical explanation as to why he ever did (God’s grace). After many surgeries and years of therapies, many people have no idea that he had been so at risk. With many surgeries and years of intense therapies, he is now 8 years old a very functional typical 8 year old (we were told by many professionals, that our son would never walk, talk or be a typical kid). Then to top it off, we were led, only by the grace of God, to adopt a little girl. She is now 4 years old and was diagnosed with Fetal Alcohol Syndrome. We were able to use our experience with our son to help her and she is doing well.
Blessed is the only way to describe God’s gifts to me (and my wonderful hubby) and to imagine that He chose ME to be their Mom is what blows me away!!
Thank you for your blog, it is a wonderful place to feel a connection with other special needs moms. You are an inspiration!!

  27. oh, how absolutely perfect. i can’t believe you’re already doing another give away. you’re the best!

blessed… like my “lucky mommy” bracelet says, i feel like my children are the most incredible blessing. i’m blessed by a wonderful husband and marriage, but for awhile we weren’t sure if we were going to be able to have birth children. it was such a struggle, but God was working mightily in us. losing two babies, and later a third, makes it impossible for me to not to be incredibly grateful for my boys. what a miracle it was to see the positive pregnancy test with zeb, and then to hear his heart beat! and to get pregnant again when we was only 4 1/2 months old! i truly am such a lucky mommy. i also feel blessed that God chose us for adoption, in particular for amanda. life doesn’t get better than this.

  28. LIsa- first I have to say reading the comments on how others have been blessed – so sweet (and Erika, right there with you!)
I remember finding out shortly before our 1yr anniversary that we were prego. I stood there staring at Michael, nervous about his response…he hugged me and said “we are blessed.” When Noah was 6.5 months old the flu turned out to be morning (all day) sickness. I was overwhelmed, shocked! And again, Michael calmed me and said, “we are blessed.” We were blessed when God took away another child born into heaven, blessed again when He added Josie to our lives.
I have heard that blessed means “your on the right road.” I thought then that God had me on all the wrong roads, but I know now He has been so good, so generous…knocked my socks off with His blessings.
Btw- I will be in SLO next week, i’d love to get a look at some of your pieces in person.

  29. One of my many blessings is my husband Duane. I was a single mom with 2 children when I met him. It was not an easy beginning for us. My youngest daughter was very upset at our relationship and put him to the test. We have now been together for 10 years and he is my best friend and loving husband.

Your talent for jewelry making is wonderful. And donating a portion to research is a wonderful thing.

  30. Lisa I am so sorry I forgot to comment on David’s most recent picture.
This one is my all time favorite! It put a huge smile on my face as soon as I saw it.
He looks so grown up and excited to see the camera.

  31. *Beautiful necklace!* Our biggest unexpected blessing is our DS! We weren’t planning on having kids for many years, but when we were approached by a close friend about adopting him, we knew it was meant to be. He ended up being born 13 weeks early, so after 72 days in the NICU, he was our unexpected preemie blessing!

  32. That necklace is just gorgeous. If I hadn’t ordered my other already, I’d have gotten that one. I love looking at your photos… you have such a joy in your little guy. Thanks so much for generously sharing him with us!

  33. What a sweet smile your boy has! I really enjoy reading about you and your family. Children are precious no matter what the circumstances aren’t they? We love my three girlies more than we can say. I also love with all my heart the two that went on to become angels.

  34. What a beautiful photo of your little man!

I am looking forward to my mom’s birthday (I’m giving her one of your necklaces as a gift!).

I am VERY blessed – a loving family, great friends, and by adoption… We cannot imagine a more perfect, wonderful, loving child than the one God chose for us!

    All the best.

  35. LOVE that necklace…and your site. You are so very inspiring!

I also have the wonderful blessings of a one-of-a-kind hubby and two fun-loving, tow-headed kids…but my unexpected blessing is all of the amazing friends and clients I have met along the way. Each and every one of them has shaped my life in some way, from my true-blue best friend to short-lived friendships made at various workplaces. Every person comes into your life for a reason, no matter how small that reason is or how short the friendship may be. I’m so blessed to have shared in the lives of all these amazing people!

  36. So sweet Lisa! I love that you not only use your blog to show off your fun new designs but also to open up your heart. Your family and especially little David warms my heart and I love to hear about your adventures and joys.

My stomach has “Blessed” all over it right now. While going through cancer treatment as a teen, I was told that I most likely would not be able to have kids. From the beginning, I always said that if God wanted me to have kids, I’d have kids. We still prepared ourselves and accepted the reality that we would not be able to have a baby. The shock & surprize of becoming pregnant when not even trying has been the biggest blessing in my life. Not only did God grant me a second chance at life, he also gave us a new life to enjoy. He is so good!

  38. What beautiful work you do — and what a special blessing your son is.

I’ve had so many unexpected blessings — lessons I’ve learned, people I’ve met. While not totally unexpected, my daughter has been the biggest blessing in my life for the past two years. I knew she would change me. What I didn’t know what just how much. I didn’t know how much of a better person she would/could/does make me on a daily basis. For that I will be forever blessed.

The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.
The blessing is becoming a mother!!! Tracy mom to James 25 week miracle

  40. Beautiful necklace to demonstrate what a beautiful blessing our sweet David is to our family and friends and everyone who meets him.

I am very blessed that God has put such loving people in my life. You are one of them, sis!

Other little blessings today: chocolate chip pancakes, playing with the dogs, spending time with my friend Jane.

  41. I am blessed everyday to have a son who has shown me so much of life he was born at 25 weeks weighing a whopping 1lb6oz. He spent a roller coaster ride of 4 months in the NICu coming home a month after his due date 7/7/07 he is turning two and back when he was i the NICU you never would of guessed you would be here turning two and climbing and jumping on the furniture. I lost my parents the same year my son was born and I feel they left so my son had a place on this earth. The saying for evry birth there is a death, anyhow that is how I cope with my loss. But am blessed everyday my little guy looks at me with those big blue eyes, I just cant get enough of him, he is truley a blessing and miracle for sure. Thanks for letting write and for sharing your beautiful family with us all. Tracy

  42. Right this minute, one of my greatest blessings is my little boy. He is so unlike my other 2 children. He is a little bundle of energy. He’s 2 years old and never stops. Most days he drives me crazy. Tonight, for about 5 minutes, he was lost at the park. I cannot describe what an awful feeling that was and what a feeling of joy and love I felt when we found him. Now as he’s sleeping in our bed, I don’t want to take him to his own bed. I just want him to sleep next to me where I know he is safe!

I’m new to your site but I can already see what amazing work you do!!

  43. I am blessed because God gave me a husband who every day is an example of God’s grace in my life. He is gentle, loving, gracious, and forgiving. He is supportive of all that I attempt in life and concerns himself with my well-being even in the little things. Jeff is slowly teaching me to see God’s grace and blessings in my life. He is showing me through his life that to serve others is to serve God. Life is so much greater when there is no bar that I must reach in order to be loved in God’s eyes or others’ eyes.

I love your blog, Lisa. Thanks for sharing!

  44. I am blessed because I’m about to have my second–and possibly my last–child this July. It is because of this unexpected pregnancy that I had an ultrasound that detected stage one ovarian cancer on my right ovary when I was eighteen weeks pregnant. If it were not for this child and pregnancy, it could’ve gone on undetected until it became a more serious problem. That is why I am blessed.

  45. I’d like to order one, and if I happen to win one, I’ll give it to someone close to my heart. My unexpected blessing would have to be Abigail. Ted and I had talked about having another child, but I had no idea I was already pregnant! God knew to do that, otherwise I probably would’ve talked myself out of it… “it’s crazy… we have 3 kids already… blahblahblah” She is the biggest blessing imaginable! I am one blessed mama.

  46. The UNEXPECTED blessings of my life, I am learning, are the ones I am given in trials. Troubles almost always make us look to God, which is in fact the greatest blessing. Also, in the midst of trials emerge deep friendships, humility, perspective, compassion, spiritual muscles, and the testing of our faith…

  47. What a wonderful picture. It makes my heart smile. I am blessed to have parents who always supported me, and still do. To now have wonderful in-laws who support their 3 boys, and now the 3 daughters-in-law as well. I am truly blessed to have a wonderful husband who has supported my decision to start my own business, giving me advice and cheering me on. I’m extremely blessed by God who’s grace covers me, and who’s hand has been over everything from the very beginning.

  49. Lisa, this is just a stunning creation! I would be so thrilled and honored to win this necklace!

My life is full of so many blessings. God is so good. I have to say an unexpected blessing from the past year would be all the wonderful friends I have met through blogging. What a treasure they are to me.

Blessings to you and your sweet family!

  50. My unexpected blessing is my little boy Carson. My husband and I married in October of 2004. Both of us waited until marriage. Two weeks after being married, I was pregnant. This came as a total surprise because I was on birth control. I remember when I first found out I cried and cried. The timing was not right. Both my husband and I were in school and barely making anything (not much different than now…haha). I didn’t know how we were going to do it, but I knew we’d make it through. Next month is Carson’s birthday. He’ll be two. I cannot even imagine what my life would be like without our little man in our life. It’s so great to see the world through a child’s eyes!

  51. Today I was blessed by fresh peas, summer rain, and an early morning snuggle with a little girl in footie jammies.
Your new design is beautiful and I love reading all the blessings you have elicited.

  52. That picture is amazing! And what a neat idea to sell the necklace for a great cause! Is it on their website, or how are you going about it? I wish you lots of luck! My unexpected blessing of the moment-Not getting into a prestigious rotation I REALLY wanted…and instead, being ‘placed’ in a beautiful city, in a less popular rotation, that just HAPPENED to be, maybe, what I will decide to do forever. Funny how these things work out…

  53. I am 18 weeks pregnant and my little (only) sister is 15 weeks pregnant. At the beginning of my pregnancy there was a bit of a complication but I was just told it is all clear now! Unfortunately now my sister has had a scary result from some of her tests. On Monday they took an amnyosentisis (sp?) type test of her placenta (too early for an true amnyo) and the results came back ALL CLEAR. She is not out of the woods yet, but this weeks all clear was the greatest news I had ever heard. Because it was genetic testing, I now know that I am going to be blessed with a nephew. I would love to share your wonderful art with my sister.

I love your blog. Thank you!

  54. I’m so blessed to have my kids and wonderful husband. We encountered many problems throughout my pregnancies and after our kids were born, but they brought us so close together as a family.

  55. I am blessed with an amazing job. God opened up the doors for me to be able to open a non-profit cafe in a ministry center in our hometown. I thought I would be blessing others by fulfilling their needs, but instead they are blessing me with their love and generosity.

  56. Love the beautiful photo of David and his Daddy.
I am blessed with a loving husband and three wonderful sons. I am blessed to have found your blog – you and your family have given me so much encouragement as we raise our own little guy with CdLS.
    Happy birthday to David!

  57. One of the most unexpected blessings in my life is my marriage. I know it sounds bad but I kind of thought we’d be sick of each other by now (7 years in November). Phillip, you know you have exceeded my expectations, it can only get better from here!

  58. Lisa-
First let me say that I love your jewlery. I would consider it an honor to win one and wear it. I am blessed to have a wonderful husband who has stood by me and put God first and our family second in everything he does. I am also blessed with my two boys and a surprise pink princess!

  59. what an incredible picture of david! he’s so stinkin’ cute! unexpected blessing….hmmmmmmm……ok, i know this sounds totally lame, but… i’d have to say blogging. yes, it does sound lame! but i’ve been able to connect with moms and other women that i wouldn’t normally get to, and in a totally different way! its been really fun for me and a good filler for a space i’ve lost with sean’s busy-ness. with these new “friendships” i have been blessed.

  60. LOVE my new necklace Lisa! Thanks! My newest little blessing is sleeping in his moby wrap on my chest…such a sweet little guy that decided to come a little early! 🙂

  61. Ahhh Lisa, this should be named after me – The “Shannon is Blessed Necklace”. This is definitely how I feel. I never thought that after such a huge loss I could feel so blessed. But when you lose something so big, you see how big the other things in your life are. Every day I find something awesome that God has done for me and my family! I’ve never felt so loved, cared for, and close to my family and friends! That is a huge blessing! And I am always seeing God’s promises and feeling his Grace and love. I am blessed & I need one of these necklaces!

Do you think wearing 3 or 4 of your necklaces (different ones of course) at one time is too much??? Because I can’t decide which one to wear everyday! I actually might order a couple of these.

  62. Believe it or not your blog has been an unexpected blessing! I stumbled across it quite by accident…through designmom’s blog. about 4 weeks ago. Anyway, i just had my third baby and reading your blog has really encouraged me…you’re so “real” and sincere! WE have a few things in common too 🙂 I’m an identicle twin and i create jewelry (w/ lampwork beads my husband torches). BLESSINGS!

  63. I was blessed to find out I was pregant…I was even more blessed to find out I was pregnant with twins. A double blessing!!!

  64. It is amazing how David blesses people’s lives. One of my friends who has only seen pictures of him consistently asks how he’s doing. David makes an impact on people–even those who haven’t met him! I want to purchase several necklaces. I’ll email you with specifics. Love you!

  65. “I am blessed” is a frequent thought in my mind. So for today, I am blessed by Type 1 Diabetes. My middle son, Jackson, was diagnosed with this horrible disease at the tender age of 27 months (he is now 4). I just realized that this month he will have had Diabetes more than half his life. I could be sad and some days I am, but this diagnosis has brought my husband and I closer than I ever could have dreamed. It has made my family healthier, who knew just how much sugar there is in 100% juice and just about everything else I was feeding my little boys. It has made me an advocate for my child in small ways, as well as on a political level. It has shown me the immeasureable generosity of friends and family and sometimes people who we don’t even know. It has shown me the power of one person in this giant world. He lives his little life with such grace and acceptance and I have learned so much from him. He is my hero and I am blessed to have him and this disease in my life.

  67. I would be thrilled to win something my heart has been coveting now for so long!! Just a little over a year ago, I was pregnant with my 4th child and hemorraging like crazy all throughout the pregnancy. I had to let go and let God in regards to my 3 other children while on bedrest and fighting for this wee one’s life. The fight was long and the outcome uncertain. Finally at 24 weeks gestation Emmanuelle Joy was born, perfectly formed. Now, over a year later, we are amazed at the joy she has brought our family and blessed by how God has used our family’s testimony to share God’s love with many. We are, in a word, blessed!
