  1. I imagine that the bird is an observer of the human race. He checks in on us now and again to make sure we continue to be positive and picks us up with his beautiful songs when we get down. Just a thought. I hope I win the necklace so I can wear that positive reminder.

  2. “I love it when the breeze blows and the wire bounces a little bit. That sun feels good.” (And what wonderful thoughts everyone has shared – silly, inspirational, reflective, hopeful, wistful… a lovely read, thank you!)

  3. I love the color in this one! 🙂 I also love the reminder to slow down and be still. I just had a new baby and I have another at home so I’m reminding myself to slow down and just enjoy the moments instead of trying to be “supermom” and get it all done.

The birdie probably isn’t thinking about much more than the beautiful breeze through his feathers and the sun on his back.

  4. I imagine that sweet little bird is learning to fly. Maybe she just took her first flight and her heart is hammering in her chest and she is gearing up to try again.

  5. I think the bird on the wire is enjoying being able to get away from all the hustle and bustle of everything. He’s able to take a moment for himself but because of his high perch, he’s also able to see the bigger picture. I think this is something we should all try to do, take a moment to sit back and relax, get away from it all, and remind yourself that away from the craziness of everyday life, there is more, and it is simple and beautiful.

This is a beautiful necklace! I find your jewelry so inspiring!

  6. I think the bird is thinking about freedom. The freedom to just open your wings and take flight…leaving all cares and worries on the ground.

  7. how lovely! i think she must be looking forward spring and some warm weather! –it is unseasonably cold in nc! perhaps she is planning to build a nest and lovingly care for her egg babies!

  8. I’m thinking that little bird is thinking how lonely she is and who will love her… Hmm…hope it’s me. Thanks for the giveaway. beautiful artwork!

  9. I think the little birdie is wondering what all the fuss is about. Why are we always rushing around…busy instead of enjoying the view like he is.

  10. Please please please enter me!! I keep hinting to the husband for one of your creations and I now have a wishlist maybe I will have hint harder!! LOL thanks for the loveliness!

  11. If I were wearing this necklace the little birdie would be thinking “why is it so darn cold today and when is this snow going to stop!”.

  12. the little birdie is probably laughing at us humans because we always think that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence… but the birdie can see that it’s all the same 🙂

  13. My husband owns a hotel in our teeny tiny town and he has a dove that has built a nest under the carport. I often see the dove perching on a power line when I am on my way home from work and she seems to be so satisfied in her little world. I think that the little birdies that perch on the power lines are laughing at us because we have to take cars when we travel and all they have to do is flap their wings and enjoy the view!!!

  14. Bird on a Wire is the banner on our ph-balanced blog! One of the birds on our blog banner says “Say Something!” I love the simplicity and modern mix of the necklace.

  15. The bird is thinking about one of two things. It is either thinking about te gorgeous view or it is thinking about not falling off the rather high wire.

  16. Little bird is just enjoying the pause, the deep breathe after a busy day, at peace while beauty and chaos surround. Wait, or is that me?

  17. If he’s any where near the midwest (where we live), he’s thinking how do I get out of here to a warmer place … I guess that’s what I’ve been thinking too the last week. Brrrr….. Maybe Monday it might be in the 30’s a heat wave!

  18. He is definitely thanking God that he was created to a bird. Thankful he is not one of the crazy, busy, worrying, materialistic creatures he watches from the wire.

  19. The little bird is trying to figure out what tune to sing next. I’m thinking a hymn, perhaps “Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing”.

  20. The birdie on the wire is thinking “I would love to adorn the neck of a lovely lady who is celebrating her first year of sobriety.”

  21. I’m thinking if there were any little birdies sitting around here they’d be frozen to the wire wishing they would have gotten the heck out a dodge before it got cold! 🙂 NEGATIVE 26 here tonight! Yikes!

  22. ” what are the humans doing so much sound? they could have such a beautiful melody..”

Sorry for my bad english, i’m french! =)

  26. I bet that bird is thinking about eating, and he probably sees a lot that I don’t in this world…the wonders of the natural world, eh?

  27. THAT LITTLE BIRDIE IS SITTING THERE THINKING “I WOULD LOOK GOOD AROUND JACKIE’S NECK, I WANT TO GO LIVE WITH HER” XOXO

  28. I am loving birds right now. I think I should have followed my great, great, great, great grandfathers profession as an ornithologist.

  29. Birdie is smiling at the site of looking in my window at my 3 year old Cinderella dancing in her plastic high heels!

  30. She is looking forward to the snow melting, sun shining and for her little birdie to be able to be outside in the warmth of spring. Ok…so maybe that is what I am looking forward to! 🙂

  31. I love this bird on a wire! It is a good reminder for all of us to pull back and look at the bigger picture of what is going on around us. (amazing how the details sometime are clearer and make more sense when you look at the big picture). Nice choice in stones surrounding it … like robin’s eggs!

Spring is just around the corner

  32. 800 comments, wow! Can you possibly read all of these? Haha, well Lisa I love staying updated on your life thru your blog & you really do inspire me to be more creative! The little bird is definitely thinking that she should fly to Dallas & pay me a visit, doesn’t she have relatives in Texas? Hope you guys are doing well & happy new year =) Miss you!

  33. Great giveaway! I got that book in my stocking this year from my hubby! I love it! I think that Birdie is thinking “pick me, pick me, please”…just kidding. I think he’s thinking: “the view from up here is incredible!”

    Thanks for a great giveaway!

  34. This is my favourite necklace design yet! I think the birdie is watching for it’s friends to join it on the line.
The book looks like a great one and has piqued my curiosity. I love unique photography ideas; it’s a great way to help you see things around you in a different light; to see the potential beauty in the mundane. It gives me a great excuse to play around with my camera and to take even MORE creative pictures.

  35. This little birdie isn’t thinking at all – she’s just soaking up the sun and feeling fine!
I need a new necklace for the new year – I hope I win!!!

  36. I am sure I can’t say anything that hasn’t already been said by 777 previous posters :)… but I think the bird is saying ” When will the world be at peace like us birds”?
Great necklace as always. I have been saving some money to order another necklace(i have one) from you but now this just makes the choice harder! Or maybe just maybe I will get lucky and win one then buy another! 🙂

  37. He’s thinking, “I hope Ingrid gets off the computer & comes outside to refill the birdie feeders!”. We have an amazing assortment of birdies in our yard and refilling the hummingbird nectar and bird seed is a daily to-do around here! 🙂

  38. The little birdie is thinking she needs to be around my neck. I sooooooo need her to remind me to stop rushing. Everyday I rush through life and am afraid I am teaching my beautiful twins to be the same way. I need this birdie to help me change in this new year…….for some reason I have not been able to do it on my own.

  39. I beleive she is thinking about her loved ones and how she hopes they are doing well.
😉 Great design love the necklace!

  40. she’s thinking that if she scoots over a little bit, there will be room for that cute little birdie on the next tree over.

  41. I just found your blog and I LOVE your jewelry! I’m going to start saving my pennies and buy some asap.

I’m sure the birdie is admiring the view and loving that he can fly.

  42. Ya know….I was on here earlier and was browsing thorugh the comments and thought to myself….I don’t have anything to say that hasn’t already been said, really….granted I didn’t actually read ALL 700 something comments ; ) But, then….I was in the hustle and bustle of making breakfast for my children and I glanced out the kitchen window to see 2 chubbie little birdies in my backyard. I focused on the one sitting on the wood fence….noticing how warm a full he looked eventhough the windchill was -5 degrees this morning. Then I looked at the remnants of snow on the ground and thought ….where’s the food? How can he be so full? Then God whispered in a still small voice….remember my Words???? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Matthew 6:26

I thought about the bird on your necklace….I bet he’s sitting there thinking the same thing. : )

  44. …i’ll fly away, oh glory
i’ll fly away (in the morning)
…when I die hallelujah, by and by–
    i’ll fly away

  45. Don’t you get it? it’s not that complicated! Look around you – see the beauty in the sky, in the trees, the gentle winds that let me soar the flow of a lazy stream. Take a deep breath and look around you and have joy!

  46. Stop and take time to see the most important things in life –
Happiness is keepng life simple -It’s marveling at a breathtaking sunrise, it’s watching your child take their first step, it’s a warm hug – “It’s simple- it’s love”

  47. Stop and take time to see the most important things in life –
Happiness is keepng life simple -It’s marveling at a breathtaking sunrise, it’s watching your child take their first step, it’s a warm hug – “It’s simple- it’s love”

  49. Awesome necklace…as always. That bird is thinking how awesome he is for getting to fly above the rest of us and be at peace all the time.

  50. The bird’s wondering why humans seem to have such a hard time living in peace with each other…we just have to give the same love we want in return.

  51. If that bird’s in Chicago, it’s probably wondering why all the wires are so filled with snow that there’s nowhere to land!! Great necklace, Lisa. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

My sister absolutely ADORES her petite charm bracelet with their names on it that I gave her for Christmas that you made!! Thank you! Your work is simply amazing 🙂

  57. the beauty of being a bird is that he has no worries, no regrets, no stress. His only thoughts are of the bounty of blessings his heavenly father gives to him each day: the clear blue sky, a wire to rest upon, an early morning worm and the warmth of a nest.

  58. i think that birdie is thinking about nothing at all. not. a. single. thing. just relishing in the pure stillness & calmness. ahhh, how lovely would that be?! {as a mom of two young ones, i relish in those quiet moments!}

are ill today and praying for a better tomorrow. Thanks for a chance to win one of your most
    meaningful necklaces yet.

My DIL loved the necklace I got her for Christmas!

Now, I think our little birdie is sitting on the wire waiting for the sun to rise. She is chirping a happy little tune…maybe “His Eye is on the Sparrow.” She is happy and content spending some quiet time with the Lord before she starts a new day.

  66. that little bird is watching us rush around, wondering why we do, and is about to spread her wings a ride the wind to show us how to slow down and play.

  67. Well we live in Kansas and right now the temp is -4….if you can imagine.. cold cold cold..so I think the bird would be thinking of where it would be able to get some warmth! At least thats what i am thinking its miserable out there..sooo cold…but then again so nice to cozy up in the house with the fireplace on and watch my 2 little boys acting crazy because they need to burn off some energy..oh my what I would do with the energy of a 2 and 5 yr old…lol…love love love your stuff! the necklace is so sweet! Hope I win it:)

  68. I think the little birdie is sitting on the wire talking to God and counting her blessings. She is spending time with her creator and just looking “from up here” at the beautiful world that God created. It’s right before dinner time, and she’s waiting for all her little babies to come home to tell her about their adventures that day. She probably has a nice little dinner ready and can’t wait to reconnect with her family after a long day.

Gorgeous necklace, Lisa! I’ll bet it looks great with your aqua earrings! Very nice job! 🙂

  69. It’s thinking about springtime being just around the corner (or at least that’s what I tell myself even though it’s only 2.5 weeks into winter!). 🙂

flying high through rain seeped clouds
    where will i fly today?

  82. The little bird is thinking about all the joy he doesn’t see in the people he sits above. He wonders how so many can miss out on the color of the sky, the puffiness of the clouds, the smell on the streets, the cacophony/symphony of the horns, cars, and tires on asphalt. He feels sorry for those who do not fly with the wings we’ve been given.

I imagine that the little birdie can see and hear more than we can and can hear the giant worship chorus going on “Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord God almighty”.

I want to be like that little birdie……

  91. I’m pretty sure the birdie is wondering why all of the crazy people are sticking their chewed gum on a wall, re: Jan. 7th’s post. Or maybe he is marveling about how good it feels to soar with his wings spread and nothing to get in his way, smooth, calm and peaceful.

  106. beautiful, Lisa! I think the birdie is saying “why are they all going so fast??” I feel that way when I am in a plane and you look down at the first site of life, where cars become more than a steady stream of light or dark and you can almost sense the frantic pace, you begin to worry about whether or not YOUR freeway home looks like a parking lot, and you get caught up in it all again. I often wish I could just sit up there, like your little birdie for awhile and wonder what is the rush?

    Facebooking now 🙂

  108. I do believe that birdie was just on my fence saying, “Dear lady, thank you kindly for the treat of sunflower seeds, the snow is soooo cold”. 🙂

  109. This little birdie was in my house on Monday (by mistake of course) and so I know he is saying he feels much better being out in the great big world instead of the 4 walls of my house.

  110. I love it! The birdie would be thinking about how cold it is and how he wants to fly south for the winter!

  111. He’s not thinking…he is just BEING. A good reminder for us all at times! Beautiful necklace , blog and photography!

  116. I think the little birdie is thinking about food, shelter, the necessities of life. The little bird is probably also savoring the sunshine and wondering why we humans are spend so much time caught up in or chasing things that really don’t matter while our children look on wondering why they aren’t important enough for us to be chasing them, playing with them, reading to them, savoring their moments! I’m going to go hug my son right now!

  117. I’m thinking the little bird is a Robin looking, from up high, for it’s namesake,” me”, in the northern most part of Upper Michigan, wanting to go home!!

  118. That bird on the wire isn’t thinking, he is enjoying the quiet and just being. Love, love, love this beautiful new necklace. Would look great around my neck!

  120. The little Birdie is thinking about watching over me today like my Guardian Angel. Making sure I get through the day with my children and my family. Granting me the strength to deal with my fathers Alzheimers, to embrace everyone around me and not to let the “small” things get to me.

    Lisa-Marie

  131. I think he must be a mocking bird saying “Here’s another beautiful Lisa Leonard necklace that you don’t have!” LOL And the photography book looks so fun! And post cards – sweet!!!

  132. What a wonderful giveaway!! Thank you!
Well, if the little birdier were here in MN today, I would imagine it’d be contemplating a warm place to hide from the cold air and snow! Or even better, where it could find a feathered buddy to snuggle up to!

  133. He’s probably thinking, “what is the rush?”… wish I were sitting on a wire, instead of my office! :o)

Super cute necklace! I like the coloured pearls – great splash of colour!

  134. I think that bird is thinking we all seem ridiculous rushing around like all the little things we are doing are important. That bird also thinks in run on sentences too;).

  135. The little birdie is thinking about the sunny days that are to come in summer and watching the kids run and play and enjoy life.

  136. I imagine the little bird is thinking about absolutely nothing! I think he has a clear mind and is simply breathing and observing the world around him — no worries, no fears, NOTHING. I wish I could be that bird! 🙂

  137. That little birdie is thinking “Lisa Leonard rocks!” This is a generous and wonderful giveaway that I would LOVE to win.
    Kelly O’B

  138. I think the bird is thinking …

    It’s 2010 … bring on the bling

Lisa wishing you a brilliant 2010 and all things creative for you this year.

    Regards,
    Karen, Cape Town South Africa

  139. I think that bird is praising God for all that is good in the world. It’s a beautiful necklace and a superb giveaway. Thanks!

  140. That sweet little bird is thanking God for a place to perch and for his daily worm! Just beautiful, Lisa…I hope you realize how insightful and inspiring you and you work is. Truly a blessing to this Memphis girl!

  141. He’s thinking how nice it is to be still and enjoy the moment! And how yummy that first cup of coffee tastes in the morning!

As always, thank so much for sharing!

    Have a great day!
    xoTiffany

  142. I think he is laughing at my crazy dog rolling around in the snow. Seems like a great place to sit and watch the antics.

  143. He’s thinking, wonder what the view is like in Michigan? I can tell him – snow and more snow! But that’s ok cause he’d stay warm around my neck! 😉 Beautiful new design, love the color!

  144. I LOVE the new charm, very sweet! I think the bird is thinking about nothing – just feeling the wind and being at one in the moment…at least that’s what I wish I did more often!

  145. Maybe this little bird is not thinking at all. Maybe he just “is”–is one with the earth, the wind, the sky, and his creator. The older I get the more stuff seems to clutter up my mind, and sometimes all I want to do is just turn everything off. Some of my favorite things are to lie on the beach and feel the sun on my skin, or to sit on the porch during a storm and smell the rain, or to catch a snowflake on my tongue and just savor the moment. Oh, to have the freedom of this little bird on a wire to rise above the worries and cares of life and just sit there and “Be” for a while. Hey! I do have that freedom. I can sit on my wire for a while whenever I want !

  146. That little bird is thinking how much he wants to fly to my house and perch in my jewelry box! Thanks for the great giveaway!

  147. I think the bird is watching the hustle bustle down below and thinking where food may be! Lovely necklance!

  148. That birdie is thinking – Wow. That is the most gorgeous color aqua blue berry I have ever seen. I must eat it up.

    Great giveaway! Thank you!

  149. I think he’s thinking about the sunshine – where is it and when is Spring coming?
Thanks for the chance … Happy New Year!

  150. I think the little birdie is thinking about the New Year and new start that he’s about to adventure into! Thanks for the opportunity!

  151. The little birdie is thinking about the tender care of the Heavenly Father who sees even the little sparrows. Thanks for the great giveaway!

  152. snow has been falling half the night and almost all of today, and i imagine the little birdie is thinking, “i should have flown south when i had the chance.” i love the new necklace. so so cute!

  153. My little birdie is realising he just doesn’t need to fly away to be free. He is free because he is a bird. He is free because he knows he can fly. he is free because he doesn’t have to think. He just is!
And that’s why we always say – Free as a bird!!
Wonderful give away. I’m going to tweet this …and add your wonderful blog to my blog list. I’m doing a give away of inspirational calligraphy if you have time to drop by (see Dec 31st @Signed by Ange)

  154. I think the bird is enjoying the view!

“The reason birds can fly and we can’t is simply that they have perfect faith, for to have faith is to have wings” -James Matthew Barrie

  155. i want to win this giveaway! sign me up.

just yesterday i was sitting in the a.m. watching as some lit’l birds flew to the edge of our roof, than dove to the ground. they seemed to be playing a game with each other. they were darling, and those moments were peaceful.
i think they weren’t thinking- were just living, flying, enjoying. the bird on the wire is a reminder to me to stop, not just physically, but everything, take in some rest, and then begin again.

  156. Lisa,
I love your necklaces and have so been itching to get another…they always match my mood or something I just through on…they are amazing! I have also really needed a reminder of how things need to be simple!

  157. I think the little birdie is sitting there in awe of all the hustle and bustle below him – and thinking how much better it would be if people would remember Luke 12:24, “Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor barn; and God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds?”

  158. The birdie is thinking: “Hey! Where’d everyone go? Don’t we usually flock together on wires? Did I get the wrong wire again!?!”

  159. I bet the birdie is wondering what all the hustle and bustle is all about… God provides for him, why don’t we stop worrying and allow God to provide fur us too?

  160. He’s thinking about what’s going to happen in the next year and wondering if it is going to be as crazy as the last!

  161. I think the bird is thinking how lucky it is to have such freedom to move from one place to another and what a beautiful view it has from this perch.

  162. I think the bird is thinking about getting reunited with all the bird friends that have already headed south for the winter. Spring must be a good time for bird reunions. Bring it on!!

  163. i bet that birdy is wondering why he bothered flying south for the winter if it’s this stinkin’ cold in florida!!!

    also tweeted & facebooked 🙂

  164. I posted this on facebook, but couldn’t figure out how to link to show that I did due to my privacy settings. Love your jewelry… especially all of the birds!

  165. As a native Californian now living in Northern Virginia, I think this little bird is telling ME to slow down, stop, be in the moment w/ my son (special needs) as I tackle his special diet and therapy here at home……AND to stop complaining about the cold temps (longing for my flip-flop beach climate back home)….HE has us here for a reason in this season! Thanks Lisa. Love your jewelry and blog (met you thru your sister at CCCLH.)

  166. I imagine the little birdie to be daydreaming the day away…..nothing to do but sit high up on a wire, gazing around at her surroundings.

  167. I think that birdie is thanking God for His provision and for the beauty he sees before him. What a beautiful way to bring a reminder of calm in our own lives.

  168. Why the little birdie on the wire is sighing with relief at having escaped the paparazzi since Ms. Leonard made him a celebrity on one of her designer jewelry pieces! He is probably singing a little song of thankfulness up on that wire.

Darling piece, as always. Such talent.

  169. I think the bird is wondering when lunch is. That’s what my youngest is asking, so it seemed appropriate!
    You have beautiful jewelry!

  170. From the cold, freezing snow in Indy, that birdie has to be thinking, “and why didn’t I just fly south” . But to me it speaks of SIMPLICITY, which happens to be my word this year! Just taking things easy, not stressing, and enjoying life and all it has to offer. As always love the design and thanks for the opportunity to win!

  171. I love this necklace! I think the birdie is thinking how amazingly wonderful it is to be a birdie, singing the days away.

  172. I think this bird is resting simply because it’s time to rest….which is something we should all be respectful of regarding ourselves! Sometimes you just need to lay down your head and rest easy before the next task. Love the design!

  173. I love this! And the aqua beads add such a lovely touch. I bet that birdie is waiting on his friends so they all could fly south together. It’s a long trip to make all by yourself 🙂

  174. Oh my goodness, Lisa, you have taken your art to a whole new level!! I adore this design. I think the bird just might be contemplating who to drop a surprise on. hmpfh!

  175. I think he’s seeing all the food we have leftover from Christmas – sweet boxes, Christmas cake, mince pies, sausage rolls, etc and wishes and hopes we’d throw some out for him and his family to eat and enjoy 🙂

  176. The little birdie reminds me of my sweet angel daughter who passed away when she was 13 days old. She flew to heaven and looks down upon us here on Earth. One day, we will meet again. Love, love your jewelry. : )

  177. I think the little birdie is saying, “if only they could see what I see from up here. Then they’d know how beautiful they all really are and how magnificent their world is. And then they would believe.”. Deep thoughts for a little bird but he has a lit of time to think fro
    up there on that wire.

  178. If he is here in MO he is thinking about finding a place with no snow so he can find some food. I have really been thinking of the birds and all the animals that live outside right now. We have so much snow and seriously negative temps. I just love your creativity.

  179. Oh how beautiful!!!! LOVE the new necklace design. I bet the bird is thinking “ha, all those people rushing around down there-I can just hang out here all day and relax!”

  180. The little birdie is looking at the great big blue sky and is thinking about flying a loop-dee-loop. Just because he can!!

  181. I think the bird is taking a minute to rest and regain his direction before flying off on another adventure.

  182. I would imagine the little birdie is just living in the moment and enjoying the view from up there. It keeps things in perspective.

Great necklace! I love the touches of aqua.

  183. Absolutely gorgeous! Just what i need to remind me to slow down and be present. I think the bird is thinking about . . . which direction is next? Which direction will life take me this year?

  184. What a cute necklace! I love the blue stones. I think the bird is just taking in her surroundings– it reminds me of a spring day after the rain– it seems like a fresh start!

I’m glad you posted that book– I’ve been wanting to improve my photography, I’ll have to check out this one!

  185. That adorable little bird must be thinking “Why didn’t I join all of my friends when they left to fly south for the winter? I’m cold and lonely.”

  186. I think the bird is thinking “Thank goodness I do not live in MN” It is so cold here right now – I am wishing I was someplace warm.

  187. Thinking about all the snow that should start to fall at noon here today . . . Can’t wait to be “snowed in” with the kids so we can sled and spend time together!

Great new piece and btw, I just LOVE my necklace that my hubby ordered from you—Thanks!

  188. Beautiful necklace. I think the bird might be wondering where his/her friends are… in late fall and spring, in an area near us, there are hundreds of birds that land on overhead wires and then swoop around in big groups. It amazes me every time. I’ve even stopped to take pictures of the birds on the wire. Love this.

  189. I would imagine he’s thinking about how big the world is and how much he has left to see, after he finds lunch. 🙂

Great idea for a necklace. It’s beautiful!

  190. I think he’s thinking how peaceful it is up there and how crazy we all are down here rushing around and not taking time to enjoy the peaceful moments!!! Kind of reminds you to stop and remember what life is really all about!

  191. Despite all the heartache and grief, if I had to do it over again…I would so that I could experience the joy and love for a second time.

  192. I think the little birdie is thinking, “all those people down there need to stop and smell the roses.” Lisa~that orange is a great color on you! So great to see you the other day. xoxo

  193. I think the bird is thinking about how peaceful it is up there & how crazy we all must be down here! 🙂 I love this necklace! I love all of your necklaces! 🙂

  194. I love this new necklace and thank you so much for the chance to win! I think that the bird is watching people….he’s probably thinking how crazy we are. We always have something to do and somewhere to go and if you all are like me, we are usually doing these things in a hurry. I bet it looks quite funny to watch! It really is a small reminder to slow down once in a while at least!

  195. I think the little birdie is thinking about serenity. Taking a break from all its flying and stopping to watch the wind blow.

  196. The birdie is thinking “what a super cute kid”, as he’s watching my son play while hanging from around my neck!!! Happy New Year!

  197. So beautiful! I imagine that bird is just taking in the peacefulness of the morning – just like I’m trying to do right now.

  198. I think that bird is is looking at the sky and loving all of life, whether it’s simple or complicated. That’s what I’d do if I were a bird!

  199. Lovely!

If I were that bird, I’d be enjoying the peace and quiet and solitude, and then would probably take a nap.

(Did I mention that I’m the mother of a VERY ACTIVE 2 year old whose molars are coming in?)

  200. I think the bird is just taking it all in and hanging. Just what we should try to do every once in a while!

  201. This little birdie is thanking God for his wings so he doesn’t have to be down around all the crazy drivers who don’t know how to drive in the snow and are going too fast. 🙂

  202. If that little birdie is a mama I’m sure she is thinking about what she should feed her kiddos for dinner, something healthy would be great, but mac and cheese sounds like winner…how much homework will need to get done…will everyone get a bath or shower tonight (including mama?)…will she get the kids in bed by 8:00 so she can have an hour all to herself, maybe even spend a little quiet time with her hubby…and then remember how blessed she is to have such a wonderful life! What a beautiful necklace Lisa!

  203. That bird is wishing he would have flown further south for the winter. We’re getting single digit lows down in Mississippi and that NEVER happens!

  204. That little birdie must be wondering… “why all the hustle and bustle down there? I have nothing to worry about, He has everything under control and meets all of my needs”
    Love the colored stone, beautiful.

  205. I think the little birdie is thinking I didn’t fly far enough south! It’s cold down here too!
I love your designs and I’m so envious of your eye for photography!

  206. I imagine she is thinking about which way she wants the wind to take him…how she should change her life…which path should she follow, where will God take her when she choices to follow him…oh wait, that might be what I am thinking! Which is why this necklace would be a perfect fit…Love all your work!!

  207. I think that little bird is thinking “I bet those people down there wish they would fly and relax up here like I can” which is true.

    🙂

Thank you for this great opportunity!

  208. i think the birdie is thinking he wants to rest around Mel’s neck! 🙂 Thanks for the beautiful giveaway! I really hope I get this one! I think that everytime though…

  209. I imagine the birdie is thinking about what a nice giveaway and wishes he/she could sign up for it….heeheehee!

If the birdie is outside your window looking in, I’m sure the birdie is wishing to come in and share the warmth.

    Happy New Year,
What a great way to start off the year!

  210. I imagine that the bird is just enjoying his view of God’s creation. I’m sure it is even more wonderful from up there.

  211. I think he is wondering why we are all running around, crazy with worry. God has taken care of him and he knows He will take care of us, too.

  212. Maybe the bird is resting on her way south. She would love to take shelter on a nearby patio, but the cat sits there patiently, too! I think teh stones look a little like robin’s eggs; maybe she is looking to the future?

  213. I would imagine that bird is wondering where all the other birds are. When our four year old sees lots of birds on a wire he always says they are at “bird church.” Maybe this bird just got to the service a little early.

  214. I think that the bird is up there looking down at us in utter disbelief of all the running around we do.
We’re always in a hurry, trying to accomplish the endless list of chores and errands on top of raising our children and holding a job. The bird is amazed at “what an average day for a human is”.
Love the necklace, especially the aqua stones.

  215. What a great necklace – and I love all your inspired photography! It makes me want to get back on the horse and start at it again. I think that bird is just sitting. Watching. Watching the stories unfold below him and making up his own stories to fill in the blanks.

  216. LOVE the blue stones on this fabulous new creation! Would LOVE to win it and your postcards too. they are great! Just re-tweeted you. Heading over to FB to tell my friends about you!
What is the bird thinking…? Today he is thinking about staying warm, looking toward the sun, and loving his freedom!

  217. The little birdie….if it was around my neck…would be thinking….

“brrrrrr…these below zero MN temperatures are frightful! I wish someone in a warmer climate would have won.”

Too bad Little Birdie….this gal in MN is feeling lucky!

  218. Lovely piece! This little birdie is taking a step back and taking it all in – taking time to reflect is something that I need to be reminded to do!

  219. Probably thinking that “birds of a feather flocking together” sounds like a good way to stay warm these days.

  220. He represents my father who passed away on Christmas eve after a very long battle with cancer. That night a bird was nesting on my wreath on my door and flew in our house and sat on the top of the Christmas tree like it was watching over us. I think he’s happy and enjoying the view from up there.

  221. That necklace is gorgeous! I think the little birdie is thinking about how she’s going to spend the rest of her day. Maybe reading a good book or doing a little shopping? 🙂 Thanks, Lisa!

  222. LOVE IT!!!! I think that the birdie is thinking…when will it be spring. Yes – I live in Canada, so I can’t wait for spring.

  223. Wow what a gorgeous necklace, so cute!
I am hoping that the birdie is thinking for me and will answer my question………..Shall I move to Marseille, France or stay here in the UK?

  224. I think the little bird is gazing at a beautiful girl bird along the wire and wondering what song he can sing to win her affection

  225. Man, I can’t even tell you how much I love your beautiful jewelry. I have been dropping hints for a long time for my husband to buy me one but I think I’m just going to have to order one myself or win one! I think the little birdie is thinking about how good the air feels blowing through his little feathers.

  226. I love this necklace! I love to look at your pictures as much as I love to see your jewelry. I invested in a nice camera last year after taking a photography class. My favorite subject is my kids. I get inspiration from you! I love you new design and what it represents. I am reminding myself and my kids to look around and enjoy the moment, don’t look for what is coming next.

  227. Love the necklace and the postcards look sweet too. I think the birdie is feeling gratitude for his perch.

  228. He’s thinking he sure is glad he’s up there and not down here. What a view and to feel the wind in his feathers, so free! I LOVE turquoise.

  229. he is thinking how lucky he is to be free to fly away at a moments notice. soar above the clouds and take in all the wonder below.

  230. This is just lovely! I think the bird is quite Charming! And he’s thinking….I like this woman who is wearing me…she’s quite charming too!” Than would be me!

  231. little birdie is day dreaming of happiness, ideas and getting some inspiration, absorbing the world!
That’s what I would be thinking about if I were him!

  232. This bird represents me. Represents my “waiting” period. I’m waiting on God to give me peace and the final, “GO!” Years ago he placed Missions in Thailand on my heart. However, due to circumstances at home I am called to be obedient and take care of my parents to the best of my abilities. So, I wait… wait for the time when I am able to spread my wings and fly. To be able to not only see, but FEEL God’s heart for his people. For my own heart to love and continue to grow for God’s people. So… just as the bird has thought to wait, I will wait. For we know that God’s timing is perfect. =)

  233. The little birdie just have no idea why i think it is so hard and impossible to move to usa from Czech republic and find a job there to. He can just fly there. Oh how happy he is. But maybe he is right, i need to focus on that it is doable and pray for it, cause i know it is Gods way for me to live and work in USA. And he will sure provide.

  234. that little birdie is thinking…..”enjoy life. each moment is a g i f t .
{ps. fly me over to that sweet girl (that’s me)….i want to live around her neck}.” xo

  235. the little birdie is definitely thinking how crazy we all must be running around at such a fast pace every day. the birdie should tell us to relax and enjoying the moments we are in.

  236. Lovely colors and design – LOVE it! <3 The the little bird is thinking that she’s so over winter! Oh, and she is ever so thankful the feeders are always full of yummy seeds!

  237. I think this little birdie is thinking about his love…..don’t crows mate for life? 🙂 Love the new necklace- just beautiful!

  238. My word this year is not an action word, but has something to do with the birdie. Actually, I chose “Sparrow” because a sparrow reminds me that God is always watching over me…I sing because I’m happy, I sing because I’m free…His eye is on the sparrow and I know He watches me. A simple reminder that He sees all, knows all, cares about all and is IN all. So your birdie is singing.
