Hello friends! It’s Monday and we’re saying hello to a brand new week. Last week Matthias had a great week at zoo camp in Atascadero. The zoo is right near the lake where I spotted these ducks and shapped a few pics after dropping him off one morning.
Hello waking up in Monterey. We are spending time with cousins–and it’s been wonderful!
Hello whale watching–I can’t wait to share pics. It was amazing!
Hello broken lens. My nice lens broke–the attachment must have snapped and my lens fell off my camera and shattered. I am so bummed.
Hello sunscreen, wet towels and sandy feet. Hello laundry that needs to be done!
Hello birthday. David is turning 10 this week. I am in complete shock and denial.
Hello video games. Matthias has discovered the wonderful world of games on our iPads and phones–and he’s hooked.
Hello summer homework. I make Matthias do math and reading sheets everyday to keep him sharp for third grade. I’m so mean!
Hello sunlight. It feeds my soul. Sunlight and the seaside–and I’m set.
Hello making stuff. I’m working on some fun fun things that I am dying to share. I hate waiting!
Hello book. I just finished this book. And I’m starting this one.
Hello brand new week! Hello new beginning and fresh start! What are you saying hello to this week?
Hello to my best guy friend from college arriving this week for a three week stay as he starts a new job and waits for his new house to close. Hello, rearranged house and a new couch arriving. Hello to a clean garage!!! Hello to seeing great family on the 4th and getting in a little kayaking. Hello to guests for dinner a few times this week! Loving summer!
Zoo camp! I would have loved that as a kid. ps, those are geese 🙂 I only know because I raised scads of ducks and geese when I was a kid. The ducks are nicer, but the geese are more protective and make great watch-dogs.
I’m finally saying hello to a lazy Monday morning on summer vacation. After 2 weeks of summer camps & being out the door by 8:30 every day, I’m thrilled to still be in my pj’s at 10:30. (WHY must summer camps start so early??)
bummer about your lens! i dropped my point and shoot and killed it this weekend too 🙁
Your not a mean mom…. I make my almost 1st grader do two worksheets a day M-F also!
Total bummer about the camera lens. And my son loves playing iPad games. There are so many cool games out there for it.
Did you enjoy Bloom? I thought it was great. Enjoy Monterey! Sounds wonderful. I love the acquarium there.
I want to read Bloom too! Hello Monday and Hello Lisa. 🙂

Saying hello to my first Lisa Leonard necklace! I’ve gifted others with pieces from your shop but never gotten myself anything. I dropped some serious hints, and my husband got me the fine feather necklace. I love it and have barely taken it off. 🙂
Serious bummer about your lens! I had a similar crash story last week involving a glass table. Happy Birthday to David! Yes, we are starting school worksheets today. I have my son the month of June off and now, we’ll be doing a WHOLE hour, 4 days (Friday off) per week of Math and Reading, Cursive Writing, etc. Yes, we are both members of the Mean Mommy Club!!! Happy Monday, Lisa!
