and a view of our small town.

the kids swam and swam and built an elaborate raft
and jumped off the diving board
and swam some more.

share some of your summer fun with us!
what are you up to?
what is the recipe for the peso chicken salad? Looks to mummy!!!!!
We went splashing in the beautiful aqua waves down in Oceanside, CA today. (North San Diego county.)
But never mind that — tell me, how do you get a group of young kids to eat pesto chicken salad??! Now THAT feat is truly blog-worthy! 😉
So sweet! Lovely friends, food, and fellowship Lisa!
Last weekend stayed with my sister & her family at their place on the Weeki Wachee River on the Gulf coast of Florida (yes, the place with the mermaid shows!) … went out into the Gulf to go scalloping for the first time ever. So much fun! Snorkel till you see a scallop in 6-8 feet of water… then dive down & grab it. Went home, cleaned them and had them for dinner – YUM!
fun times! we are just back from vacation (celebrating my mom’s 60th birthday) and busy planning my eldest’s 5th birthday party (its all about clone wars and water guns… sigh)
today my mom turns fifty! so we are setting up for a huge suprise party. only 3 hours till she gets home and i still think it might be a suprise!
Mmmmmmm icecream bonbons.. yummm! It’s winter here so hard to think about summer!! Big smiles…
Love this. Definitely a perfect August day : )
Getting ready to go out of town for a vacation to a resort out side of Pittsburgh, PA, but before that, eagerly awaiting my ripe red cherries necklace and custom sterling ring! 🙂
Yes please share the peso chicken salad recipe.
My 6 year old used to call goggles ” gobbles” and we had such fun with that. She finally has gotten it right but I still call them gobbles myself.
yum please share the peston chicken salad recipe?!?!? 🙂
Great pics, love the flip flop shot. Looks like you and the kids had a great time.
Such sweet photos of the kids together:-)
Oh how I miss POOL days up here in the Northwest!
I don’t think there’s an OUTDOOR pool within a hundred miles! ;o(
This time last year I was LIVIN’ in THE POOL!
Went to bed with CHLORINATED (is that how you spell that word?) HAIR every night!
What a FUN day in the SUN!
And CHOCOLATE covered icecream balls…POOL-SIDE!
Well life doesn’t get ANY better than THAT!
What sweet friends!

Hi there!
We are on vacation visting family in PA – so different from the fast paced LA – we are relaxing, enjoying family time – watching fire flies at night – the kids are playing on a huge slip and slide – getting to ride the sitting lawn mower – oh they LOVE that!! We are eating lots of fresh fruit we get from roadside farmers – and relishig in how blessed we are to have such wonderful family!
Can’t wait to see your new necklace design you tweeted about!!
Have a great day!
xoTiffany

What wonderfully, loving, lovely pics. Thanks for sharing with us.
You are absolutely right, these are perfect summer photos. I so wish I was there. The kids look like they had a fabulous time. I have a photo of my kids and their friends with goggles just like that when they were little and it cracks me up also.
Thanks for sharing such a wonderful day with us!
Zack emailed me yesterday with a link and wrote “our weekend plans…” — apparently we’re going wine tasting in Wisconsin soon! 🙂
