Hello friends! I’ve been working through some feelings of anxiety and sadness. I think it’s been hard for me to get back into the swing of things after the holidays and processing some upcoming tests and possible surgery for David. I just feel blue and teary! So I’m trying to do things to care for my soul while I let myself grieve a bit.

How about some hellos?

Hello bracelet that reminds me to greet each day and each circumstance with an open heart.

Hello cozy shirt and scarf that keep me warm. {Shirt is from Old Navy, Scarf is Gussy Sews}

Hello sunshine and blue skies.

Hello making a doable to-do list to try to keep myself from getting overwhelmed.

Hello warm baths in the evening. Soaking is so soothing!

Hello extra cup of coffee, just because.

Hello cuddles on the couch and not rushing around.

Hello focusing on this moment {because it’s beautiful}.

Hello planning a birthday celebration for Matthias. He turns TEN this week!

Hello tidying up the house and refreshing things. New is good.

Hello trying out a yummy recipe for the first time.

Hello Monday. There is beauty to be found this week–I am sure of it!

  3. I have such a great amount of respect for you and your honesty. Thank you, Lisa, for showing others that we don’t have to be “fine” all the time. I appreciate you.

  4. Uncertainty is always a challenge…but it seems you find a way to get through it. I hope so anyway. It’s nice that you have a creative outlet…because looking at all your nice collection one would never know you were struggling at times. Take care.

  5. Hi Lisa–You are such a ray of sunshine. I seriously don’t know how you do all you do and remain so upbeat and positive. Your jewelry delights me–I love wearing your necklaces and earrings. I get many compliments on the same items even if I’ve worn them a million times. I love your blog as well. Very heartfelt and honest. You truly are a bright light.

    I have a question for you. I don’t know if you can answer it, but maybe you can. My son, who just graduated from college, is taking a job in California. He will be living in Tulare. We know nothing about this town and he is worried that he’s making a mistake. He will be there for ten months and then will go to Minnesota. Do you know anything about this area? If you do, please let me know so I can pass the info on to him. It would ease his mind to know something about where he will be living for a year.

    Thanks so much. And keep your bright light shining 🙂

Hello, book club meeting Thursday to talk about Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg! Such a great book. Hello to a weekend with just me and my little girls while the mister goes to the Oregon Coast with his buddies! I see banana splits for dinner in my near future!
