happy pictures to celebrate friday!
i wasn’t such a happy mommy last night-two fussy boys were draining my patience.
guess that’s real life. sigh.
but it’s a new day with much to be happy about!

a faded green door with red and white strips
and a beautiful lavender flower. so happy!

david and i took a quick trip to the beach while matthias was in art class yesterday.
we didn’t actually find a heart shaped rock, i just arranged the little rocks to make it look like a heart.
it might be cheating, but it’s still fun!

i can still taste the chocolate-peanut butter cupcakes erika brought to the workshop this week.
delicious.
and i know, enough with the desserts, right?
i have such a sweet tooth lately!

matthias and max made masks for each other.
they’re power rangers, can’t you tell?
and shadows holding hands. so happy.

what’s making you happy today?
The sun coming out makes me happy, as does getting out and enjoying it with the whole family. Today we went for an epic walk – my husband and I, our two-year-old son and seven-month old daughter piled in the wagon with our four-month-old westie pup in tow. We got lots of comments from people on our happy party!
Beautiful pics as always. I decorated a little tiny Christmas tree with buttons this year. It was so cute.
What gorgeous photos! Hope you and your family have a great weekend.
Beautiful, beautiful photos as always Lisa! So happy to hear I am not the only grumbly mummy in the world, sometimes I guess we feel like it though….Hope you enjoy Alice in Wonderland, I am taking our teenage daughter to see it tomorrow. Wishing you a lovely weekend ~ Tina xx
Annd there is never too many deserts! Ever! Those cupcakes look really delish.
What is making me happy today? Spending time with two little cousins that have so much imagination and willingness to try anything new or silly…
I don’t think I could ever hear enough about desserts! I LOVE to bake them and eat them!! 🙂
Lisa,
I love your photos and jewelry! My friend told me to check out your website. I think your photos are so nice, you should sell them! What makes me happy today is knowing that I am helping others to achieve their dreams. Also, my daughter, my husband and the two crazy dalmatians that think they are humans who live with me.
Hi Lisa, love the photos especially the lavender anemone! What’s making me happy today? I’m struggling a bit with that today as hubby was in a really grumpy mood last night and I just hate the way that makes me feel! Oooh just found it – a beautiful grey warbler bird is singing its lungs out in one of my trees. They are the most beautiful native birds and are tiny! What a loud sound comes from those little lungs.. just beautiful! Thanks Lisa for getting me to find that happy moment! Big smiles
Watching my boys dance and laugh makes me happy – is their anything more genuine in a delighted 2 year old?
have a great weekend!
Stef
just delighting in my 2 year old…at the park going down the ‘curly’ slide by herself for the first time…and then on her tummy to boot…so tickled she had to tell daddy first thing when she got home….her enjoying her chips w/ her lunch…which started also at the park…I made a comment about the wood chips (that cover the ground at the parks here), and her not knowing they are called that, heard me and thought I was talking about the kind of chips you eat…of couse I didn’t have any on me at the park, so I had to promise she could have some with her lunch at home!
Yes, buttons ARE lovely! 🙂
I saw Alice in Wonderland last weekend. It was good. A bit strange. The beginning you’re kinda like, “huh???”. If you can, see it in 3D, it was awesome. Graphics are amazing and towards the middle and end of the show it gets better.
Have fun!
Good news, sunshine, classes outdoors, and music streaming from music is making me happy today!
Your pictures are making me happy and the fact that House Beautiful tweeted about me today :).
Hi Lisa. I didn’t even know you had a blog … sigh.
Lovely pix. Love you!
Happy day. Love, S
Hi Lisa —
Making me happy today:
*its FRIDAY!!!
*lunch with a friend (yea – getting out of the office)
*the cute picture of my daughter that her teacher sent me
*the sun being out
*the new Brighton flip flops – OMGosh – so cute – but probably a bit pricey!
*my husband’s unrelenting patience and love
Have a GREAT weekend and date night!!
xoTiffany
These two, loving them.
After 6.5 grueling weeks, I am getting my beloved truck back!
Its Friday! I get to shut down my computer and spend the next 72 hours with my fave people on Earth… can’t wait to pick up my 4 year old up from preschool. Let the weekend begin!
Reading your blog ALWAYS brightens my day…such a calm peaceful place to visit. Oh, and chocolate…that makes me happy, and a glass of my favorite wine always makes me happy too, but most of all my littles make me happy. Oh, and hope for the future
what makes me happy is the sun. and it is a sunny day today! i love to get out and play with my kids. so fun.
Happy that is a beautiful sunny day, that I was able to enjoy a walk outside, that my necklace should be arriving any day!
Your blog! And a little guy who is feeling so much better. And a husband who will have the weekend off. And beautiful spring weather. So much to be happy and thankful for.
Your buttons made me think of the bag full my mother has had for as long as I can remember. When I was a little girl I used to take them out and play with them. *sigh* Sweet memories.
Your photos always make me happy, Lisa. So free, easy, and simple. What a lovely family.
I am happy my husband isn’t traveling again until next week. I’m also happy it’s not snowing and the bulbs are coming up! And who could forget …. TGIF!
It doesn’t take much. No, I really mean it. When I look around at my life and start the gratiude process – its takes off on a Journey of its own. Nothing big in my life by the world’s standards but I am rich beyond meausre and the best part is, I know it! Happy Friday Miss L!
I’m happy because I’m hosting a silk screening and tie dying art group for my kids homeschool in my home! Everything is swathed in black plastic and I can hardly wait! These kids are going to have a blast if I have anything to do with it.
I love your rock by the way. Such a cute idea!
What is making me happy today? IT’S FRIDAY! I just finished the treats for my kiddos school’s bake sale and the sun is out. Life is good. Sometimes it doesn’t take much does it? Other days….well…..it would take a whole lot.
Saw Alice with my daughter in law the other night, it is rather scary (definitely not a children’s film) and quite dark.
But hey I was sitting with my wonderful daughter in law and so I could have watched paint dry and been happy
I GOT ENGAGED LAST NIGHT!! Ridiculously happy…and rather unfocused at work today!
I love the buttons and the flowers are just gorgeous! Today I’m happy because the weekend is almost here and we have little planned. Yeah! Everyone is healthy and we’ll have Girl Scout cookies this afternoon!
buttons are lovely. thank you for delighting in the little things, for making me look at my own.
enjoy the weekend!
i haven’t seen “alice” but i heard it was kind of disappointing . . . just a warning. whatever you do, have a great date night!
our kiddos have school off today and all next week. spring break! so we’re excited to have some fun together as a family.
happy weekend!
my babies, my hubby, my home, our life! Happy weekend to you Lisa 🙂
the weekend! painting, my boys 🙂
Having all three kids at home today (even though 2 have colds)…a weekend with nothing much scheduled…the month of March, full of celebration in our family.
My husband and I saw Alice in 3D last weekend while we were out of town for our 10th anniversary. We loved it. I think it’s one of my favorite Tim Burton movies to date. The girl who plays Alice is perfect for the part and I have loved Johnny Depp since the days of 21 Jump Street (I’m dating myself). It’s a really neat movie. Have fun on your date night!
Enjoying all you share in your blog!
Plus it’s Friday, which means more time to sew than the hour or so I get on weeknights after work. I started a new quilt last night for my son to take to college in the fall and am excited about it.
My holiday to America starting on sunday (I am from the Netherlands) and finding my order from you hopefully at my friends house! And of course me getting my children from daycare in a minute, that is always making a smile on my face!
