This summer I can hardly be bothered to blow dry my hair or put on make-up. I pretty much grab the closest clothing and call it an outfit. I wore this dress twice last week. It’s super comfortable and easy–so why not?
I’m linking up Lindsey from The Pleated Poppy for some fashion inspiration!
I found this black dress at a thrift store a couple weeks ago for $3. It’s from Express–probably from the 90’s and I think I may have owned this same dress back then! It’s a lot like this dress and since I love that one so I much I didn’t mind paying a few dollars for another!
For both looks I layered on a vest, an awesome necklace {loooove our new artisan pieces} and a pair of wedge heels.
The pockets on this safari vest are awesome. I think moms need all the pockets they can get!
These sandals are comfortable for all day–as long as I’m not hiking they’re great.
Outfit details: Dress, thrifted. Safari vest, Old Navy. Day to Night necklace, my shop. Wedge sandals, Target.
I found this jean jacket at a thrift store and then I cut the sleeves off. Voila, vest!!
Outfit details: Dress, thrifted. Vest, thrifted. Oh, Dreamer bracelet, my shop. Sandals, Target.
Which way do you like better?
I think I just found my twin! Your hair is just like mine. Your clothes are very much like mine also. When I saw you on Pinterest I thought someone had put my picture on there! So weird. I’ve always heard that people have a twin somewhere in the world.
Ok now I need to see a pic of you!
PS I already have an identical twin in real life. So maybe we’re triplets?? 😉
luuuuv the red sandals! and the denim. pockets are great! ~except when the little “biggest” knows that you keep things in them. ha!
I love the denim with the red! But they’re both lovely, as usual!!!
Hi Lisa these are both super cute ideas. Did you wear this dress on David’s birthday last week? I remember thinking how comfy and pretty the dress is, so summery! I think the denim look is my fav esp with the pops of red color. And $3? Seriously? LOVE!
I love both looks! You just gave me a great idea too! I’ve been looking for a jean jacket vest to no avail. I have an extra jean jacket I’ll be cutting the sleeves off of! Thanks 🙂
Perfect!! Glad I could help! xx
Love both outfits! I am going to Vienna in a couple weeks to visit our daughter, son in law and grandson. I tried those first pair of wedges on yesterday at Target. I wasn’t sure I could walk all day in them…might have to try them on again, because they are so stinkin’ cute on you!
So cute Lisa! And I love that the dress is thrifted. Your necklace is the perfect accessory!
I am really loving it these days! Thanks Mandy!!
Cute again! I like the denim vest I think because it’s a little more fitted and accentuates your little waist. Your shoes are always good love the red wedges.
Thanks so much Pam! xx
Vests are my favorite thing these days, I love both of these options!

Ooh, that second outfit is very nice! Very well thrifted I might add.
Thanks Diane! xx
You look great! I don’t know why I didn’t think of that for the denim vest! I’m going to go hunting for a denim jacket now!
Do it!! They go with everything 🙂
I can’t decide – both are cute!!! Too hard to decide because your lovely jewelry ties both together perfectly 🙂
Aw, thank you Carissa! xx
Cute outfits! LOVE both pairs of shoes.
