Hey friends! I’m linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for some fashion inspiration! Today I’m sharing three ways to style this dress.
This dress from Target has a great, classic shape. It zips in the back and has pockets. Many of Anthropologie’s dresses use this same shape–but this one from Target was only $27.99. It comes in 4 adorable prints and also just plain black. It’s a great dress to have in my closet!
The first way I styled it was super simple–add a scarf and nude heels and I’m ready for a summer wedding or church.
I’m starting to crave warmer weather, how about you? Here’s the details for outfit one…Scarf, Zara. Nude heels, Payless. Gold connected bracelet, My shop.
Outfit two is perfect for date night, which sounds GREAT to me! I love date night. Jean jacket, Gap. Black Tights, Target. Black booties, 7 for all Mankind. Stir My Soul Necklace, My shop.
For this last look, I wore a polka dot top over the dress {I tied it at the bottom to give it more fit} and added a scarf and my favorite boots. These boots are like an old friend! Polka dot top, Target. Scarf, Anthropologie. Boots, Anthropologie. I love you bracelet, our heartfelt collection, find it here.
It’s hard for me to turn down a pretty dress–especially at this price. Which look do you like best?
Shortly after I saw this post, I got the invitation to my son’s school’s annual silent auction/dinner, and panic started to set in. The theme this year is country/western. The only thing I was sure I was going to wear is your turquoise three strand necklace. Then I remembered your dress/denim jacket/ankle boot combination. I am doing something similar with that dress in black, and ankle boots with a bit on fringe on them. I love that your looks are affordable — I got the dress and boots at Target. So thanks for the insipiration!
I love that! Thank you for sharing 🙂 xoxo
Lisa – You looked so incredible in that dress, I went out to target and bought the same one plus the animal print one! I love it! It’s too cold here right now (In New Jersey) but I can’t wait for early spring to come!
Thanks for sharing!
Oo I LOVE animal print! xo
Love these posts! And your nude heels! I have been following your WIW-series for quite some time. Do you think your style has changed since starting it? If yes, what way? Has the series “influenced” you in any way? I’d love to know! xoxo
The look with the jeans jacket is my favorite! Thanks for sharing where you found the accessories. I really want to hit Target for the dress – probably in black. 🙂
You won’t regret it! XO
I love these weekly posts! I’m always so inspired by you to care a little more about the outfits I put together. ( on the good days when I get one put together! Stay at home mom to two under two) my favorite look is number two, date night. 🙂
Thanks Sara! xoxo
I love the dress with jean jacket. And…well, I just happened to be at Target this morning and the same dress just plopped itself into my basket 🙂
I have a super long torso and it actually hits in the perfect spot. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love the date night look! And I totally am going to look for that dress!
Thank you Kelli!
I love #1. I’m a simple girl myself, just a scarf and some cute shoes. Especially when the shoes are from Payless! The whole outfit is affordable and I love that!
Thank you Kerry! I love simplicity too 🙂
Please look at this she stole your work

So cool that you are showing us so many different ways to use one piece. My favorite has to be the date night version….although I don’t really wear boots so I would simply change the shoes. You look beautiful in each. Enjoy!
Thank you Julie! That look would be great with a pair of black Mary Jane’s too! XOXO
The second one is adorable!
Denim jacket for sure! It was the most complimentary for you!
P.S. I am buying that dress in black!
Hi Maryanne! Oh yay, this dress in black will be so fun to dress up or dress down. To answer your question, I don’t often mix silver and gold, but every now and then it works!
I just tried this dress on today. It was super cute but I felt it had too much fabric on the bottom. It made me look really wide and I wear a x-small. But you make it look great! Love it with the jean jacket!
Lisa I have a white gold wedding set — I am always hesitant to wear gold bracelets but I notice you did in one of the pics. Do you often mix silver (or white gold) with yellow gold?
I like all three and you inspire me to try different looks. Please keep up the outfit three way posts!!! 🙂
Thank you Melody! More to come!
So fun. Love the first (dressed up) way to wear it, but my favorite is the one with the denim jacket.
Super-cute.

Thank you!
SOooooo cute!!! Just come on over and have lunch and then you can tackle my closet to come up with some fun combinations that totally are over my head!
Hugs!!
Susan
Haha thank you Susan! It’s all about having fun and expressing the mood you’re in that day. XOXO
I love it when you o outfit posts! You have such a fun sense of style! 🙂 I love outfit #2 because I love black tights and booties… and denim jackets! 😉 But I thought outfit #3 was really interesting too. I never would have thought to pair the dress with polka dots but now that I see it I love it!!
Thank you Lauren! I love matching unexpected patterns!
I love the recent posts about different ways to wear things. So fun! LOVE the dress! Hard to pick my fav way, but I love the denim jacket and booties with it best. {I think!}
Thank you Paige! It’s a blast to do these posts 🙂
I think I love the date night look the best but all are adorable. You sure know how to do it! Love these posts…keep ’em comin’!
Thank you Lennie! Stay tuned! Xo
I actually like the “date night” look the best. And your necklace is a beautiful match with the dress:)
Thank you Sarah! xo
Without hesitation: Outfit 2 ! jean jacket dark tighs plus boots go super nicely with this dress. I do not like the other two, not because of you (you are very pretty) but because i dont like those clothes combined. Just my opinion. Have a great day!
Thank you Helene! xo
