hi friends! it’s wednesday, so i’m linking up with lindsey for some fashion inspiration!
this was kind of a hide-me-it’s-monday outfit. it was so comfy, it felt like jammies. and it was a rainy day so i wanted to wear something easy.
the black maxi dress is from target a couple years ago. cardi is from a local boutique, vintage boots from ruby rose, scarf from anthro, molded heart bracelet from my shop.
it’s finally starting to feel like summer around here. it’s been rainy and cloudy {which is unacceptable!} we’re making our summer wish list and getting so excited. also, i’ve got a pinwheel tutorial for you later today, so check back!
what’s number one on your summer to-do list??
i’m always coveting your hair more than the clothes 🙂 i have the natural curl, but my hair has thinned so much as i’ve gotten sicker and i miss all that fun fullness. it looks perfect on you! 🙂
Love your style — beautiful as always!!
Summer… adoption! Still waiting for our match… so many kids, it’s mind-boggling (and heartbreaking) that there’s so much waiting! In the meantime, working to raise funds for the school we’re building in Africa. It’s keeping us busy and distracted from… the waiting. 😀
Hiking…
Biking…
Scrapbooking…
Antiquing…
You are beautiful.. 🙂
Beautiful outfit, love the colors and the boots! Our summer list is HUGE and EXCITING! My husband and I are both teachers so we are all five here everyday! Lots of crafting, reading, gardening, cheap day trips, cooking (we are studying one culture/country a week) and laughing. So far, excellent! Enjoy yours!

Love the easy elegance in your outfit Lisa! I’m so loving your blog! I’m a stay at home mom of a 4 year old boy and 7 week old girl and I so enjoy your encouraging posts and inspiring jewelry!
I will Enjoy our summer programs at the library…summer means more kids, better crafts(haha) and fun times. It’s the highlight of my work week.
Love my Thursday morning group of 3-6 yr olds! In the summer I get to see my little friends who started school this past year(…which is always fun) in addition to my usual group. 🙂
maxi dresses FTW! 😀
Thanks for asking! I have my handy little list right here. All of us get out of school (hubster and I are both teachers) in 2 weeks! Finally!!
#1: Seattle’s Lake Union: they have a new park there, which has a huge fountain and spray ground = picnic day! Also, there’s a floating farmer’s market on an old steamship right there on Thursdays, too, so looks like a great mid-week plan! Can’t wait!
I have that dress, too, and a gray one. . .so comfy! you inspire me, as always
I really love the way your put things together!!! You have a great style!! …summer plans…hmmm…iced tea, sun screen, and Texas BBQs!!!
My summer to do list includes…making a whole lotta stuff…with the kids, for the kids and without the kids for me!
I love your wardrobe wednesdays! They give me such good inspiration 🙂
My number one summer activity is berry picking! It just doesn’t feel like summer without it.
summer to do list – more outside evenings with my kiddos. and see as many local musicians perform outside as we can. who doesn’t love being under the evening summer sky listening to some great music?
love your style. wish I could see things like you do – when “treasure hunting”. plan to garage sale this weekend, and hope to come at it with a new perspective – you seem to think to paint things I NEVER would. 🙂
#1 on my list is to live life fully everyday! just to have fun and enjoy work and enjoy my evenings of no work. XO
Soak up the sun! Vitamin D is lacking around the NW, so by the time summer rolls around I’m in need of a heavy dose of it!
Hi sweet Lisa!!!
I was away for about 10 days on an amazing trip with my daughter – so much good time spent, my heart and soul is renewed and refreshed and I filled myself with lots and lots peace – breathed Him in! We camped in Oregon with her 6th grade class – what an awesome experience it was! Anyway…..
#1 on my summer to do list – GO TO THE BEACH LOTS!

ahhh…I have that maxi from target a couple of years ago too! i need to pull it out of the swimsuit cover up bin and wear it with a cardi since it’s still raining here too! actually we have sunshine for the next 10 days! yippee!
you look darling as always. love your boots.
Spend as much time with my kids as possible. We are all so much more relaxed in the summer – without the pressures of homework and activities. I’m a working mom but my company let’s me work an alternative schedule in the summer to maximize my time with my kiddos. I am very thankful!!
Love all of the maxi dresses I’m seeing around. I need to get a few of my own! The black and jade green combo is really striking. I linked up with Lindsey as well – love all of the inspiration!
