Hi friends! I’m linking up with Lindsey at The Pleated Poppy for some fashion inspiration. This is a big week for us–the boys start school. David is in 5th grade {what?!} with a new teacher so I’m feeling nervous and a little emotional. Matthias is in 3rd grade and he’s so excited! Fall is upon us! Here we go, ready or not!
This outfit couldn’t be much more simple. It’s easy and comfortable and a great transition to fall. Dark skinny jeans, Gap. Red ruffle top, Target. Booties, Target. Open circle bracelet and Bits of my heart bracelet both from my shop.
For me, back to school means getting into a more regular routine–and that makes me happy! Favorite parts of my routine are coffee in the morning, chore checklist {for Matthias} and making dinner. What’s one part of your routine that makes your day easier?
LOVE the ruffled top!
Getting up early enough to drink a cup or two of coffee, do my exercises and take the dog for a walk around the block before I go to work…sometimes I manage all three…..haha
Love the outfit . I really like your hair color. I really wasn’t crazy about the red !!!
I love seeing your outfits! I love your hair, as well. My hair is naturally curly, and it does whatever it wants! Ha!
Even though I am dreading going back to work (teaching), the routine will be nice. It will be great to have my house back with me fully in charge! Lol! My husband is also a teacher and has been home all summer, too.
The part of my routine that makes life easier is letting my 3 year old follow me around the house after quiet time is over and after we’ve had snacks. We do chores together :).
Actually, I love getting up really early and blogging; sharing my thoughts with the world and helping someone else that may be feeling the same way. Connecting is so great!
Awesome outfit!
For me I think just having a routine is key. I find myself wasting a lot of time when I don’t have a schedule.
I agree! When I fall out of my routine I waste so much time!! I love how back to school is a new beginning! xx
LOVE your top!! You look great as always 😉 Im very excited about Fall, cooler weather and Fall baking! Cooper started preschool this yr and its Connor’s last yr in preschool! Cant believe how fast they grow!
You look great. And, I love the new Dayspring Faith collection. I am going to order the wonderfully made necklace for my daughter’s 15th birthday.
I also am ready for more routine. I have to have a diet coke in the morning to get myself started. I try to go through our calendar/to do items before bed so everyone knows what the next day will involve. None of us our morning people so reviewing schedules in the morning is a lost cause 🙂 My babies started jr. high and high school this year. I couldn’t be more proud of them.
I love that outfit! I need some dark dark jeans!
I wanted to tell you that I bought one of the Dayspring necklaces for a friend of mine…I bought the By Grace Alone…to remind her that she lives under God’s grace and not Satan’s condemnation. Thank you for creating not only beautiful pieces but ones that speak the truth of God!
Love your outfit! Hope your kids have a great year in school. My son is in 7th this year and my daughter 5th. I still cannot believe it! They are growing up way too fast.

Ack!! my special boy is entering 5th grade this year with a new teacher too. I’ve been dreading this since I discovered how great his teacher is he’s had from k-4th grade. Wish so much she could move on with him! I’m feeling emotional too. Such a huge change for all of us. Let’s hold hands, shall we?!
