this weekend we went up to camp ocean pines in cambria with the college leadership from our church. a beautiful camp, near darling shops and the beach. we had a great time hanging out.
while the students were meeting and planning we passed time at the park and the beach and eating ice cream. it was really rough.
we got to witness (i’d much rather watch than participate) their dye war. basically two teams with red or blue dye go at it. you can see the before and after shots above. everyone was covered in dye. so fun.
but the main reason we went was to hang out with daddy. he’s a good daddy.
getting to experience camp is just the icing. i love this last shot of my boys walking to the dining hall. what did you do this weekend?
*oh and come back tomorrow for a new design. i love love it!!
I love the picture of David sitting. So precious, pure and beautiful. My Doodle Bug would love your David.

Hi Lisa,
I always enjoy your blog, it inspires me. I went to a wonderful retreat for birth mothers this weekend. We had a great time connecting and learning new things about each other and sharing our stories. (I just updated my blog with a post about the retreat – lifeafterfirstmom.blogspot.com) My son that was placed for adoption will turn 18 in just seven months. As the time draws near to when I can legally contact him I am getting more nervous and finding myself thinking of him even more often than before.
On friday I ordered a necklace from you with the words created, chosen, cherished to remind me of him along with his initials and birth date. I can’t wait to get the piece as this will be very special to me and remain close to my heart once I receive it. Thank you for offering such a great thing!

Hi, I’m here from Maya Made… Thanks so much for the giveaway opportunity… Your work and blog are wonderful!
On a side note, what were the camp teams using for dye, and how did they “dye” the other team?? Water balloons? I ask because it looked so fun and I made want to borrow that idea one day!
Thanks so much.

hey jess! they just used food coloring mixed with water. it dyes the skin (and clothes) but washes off fairly easily–off skin at least. i’d recommend wearing old white tees and grubby clothes in case they get ruined. it was a blast!! xo
what beautiful pictures of what i’m sure was a beautiful weekend. just discovered your blog from a link from maya*made. you are a talented artist and i can’t wait to see what else you create
Oh, I like the daddy and boy pic walking to the dining hall. New design? Cannot wait!
Oh, Lisa. What fun! I had a nice lazy weekend. Taking care of Dan (he was sick, but got over it quick). I love the pics you put up of your guys. I so miss you guys and working with your hubby. Okay…gotta get over that and focus on my new surroundings. Glad you got to go with them and pray they got a lot accomplished ‘leadership-wise’. Love you and give hugs to the family.

We went to the SF bay, rented a yacht with family and sent the day and the rocky water. It was alot of fun.
