not sure if it’s the upcoming holiday, or our internet going down for a couple days or what but i completely lost my rhythm this week. i’ve been feeling really out of sorts and like i’m constantly trying to keep up/catch up/patch up. sigh. so looking forward to time with family over thanksgiving.

on a lighter note, i’m obsessed with hot chocolate right now. with marshmallows. so yummy and comforting. what is soothing your soul right now?
I love hot chocolate too! Great pic by the way and love that table too!
I’m not a coffee gal. Hot Chocolate all the way. My favorite is by far Starbucks’. 5 pumps in a 12oz.
Sunshine makes my day, so does your blog, shades of blue/green/grey that come from the sea, quiet time when I can get all 4 of my littles down at the same time (rare), and an occasional treat for myself (ANYTHING!).
Thank you for you!
Can I just say that your hair is adorable!! I hope someday you’ll do a post on it…I want it! 🙂
Hot chocolate is my guilty pleasure too…I’m pretty certain that I’m single-handedly keeping my local Starbucks in business…this obsession is getting out of hand. 😉 Yummm.
I have started drinking tea again lately which I find very warm and soothing. But what is really making me feel good right now is spending a little bit of time every day working on Christmas crafts/ornaments that I am making for my house and for friends.
My Thursday morning toast in weatherspoons with friends -yum!! x
I also love hot chocolate. Someone donated a bunch of Swiss Miss Packets to the mission a few weeks back, and I’ve been enjoying one every night 🙂
Starbucks gingerbread lattes. So sinful. so good.
You all have got to try Ibarra Mexican Hot Chocolate……it in the Hispanic section of your supermarket in a cute kinda hexagon box. You melt one tablet in milk on the stove and I always add a little sugar. It is sooooooooooo good, really different but very good and satisfying………YUMMY <3
It’s hot chocolate here too. For both myself and my three year old 🙂 we go through it like there’s no tomorrow! Enjoy 🙂
always almond vanilla tea with french vanilla creamer….it’s just the best any time of day….
and I often think this time of year can make us feel out of sorts….the weather, the buying, the decorating, the cooking….
yep, I know how you feel….
Sipping tea and playing a game of Scrabble with friends today soothed my soul.
MMM, love hot chocolate too!! But I’ve been eating WAY too many candy cane joe joe’s lately! 🙂
Mmmmm, I love hot chocolate! I not only love the taste, but there is something about making it from scratch and stirring it on the stove, that for me, is very calming. Can I just say that your hair always looks so cute, mine isa similar length and wave, but I can’t seem to tame it very well. Yours is adorable. Anyway, hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Hey Lisa,
Just wanted to let you know the Lord brought you to mind today and I prayed for you!
Love,
Kristen
Visiting friends and family in SLO. Good to get together with friends for football, Biggest Loser and just chatting. I love keeping up with them and past students. Lets me know I’m getting older, but closer to Heaven. Reminds me that God has given me great people in my life. And reminds me to continue to be thankful for everyone and everything He has given me. That includes you and your family, Lisa. Was glad to chat with Steve a little when I had lunch at church. Miss my office mates. love and hugs to all and Happy Thanksgiving
Is that really your house and is it really that clean? You put this mama to shame.
I think it must be the week because I am feeling out of sorts too. I also have remedied with hot cocoa and lots of marshmallows. You can’t beat it.
Happy Thanksgiving.
As always journaling, and I have to say hot chocolate too…. I love Swiss Miss with mini marshmallows, with Coffee-Mate Peppermint Mocha creamer added. Yummy.
Gingerbread latte from Starbucks .. so good!
Just wanted to say that I’m a newcomer to your blog and I think it’s beautiful, fun and interesting!! LOVE your jewelry – wish I could afford it! 🙂
For me, it’s candles, sweatpants and a big comfy sweater that soothes me. Turn down the lights, make some tea, and curl up with a book or a few good episodes of a show you love. The best way to beat a stressful day!
baby einsteins dvds. god bless em.
Funny…Im doing my morning routine of checking blogs that I love. With my hot chocolate in hand, I sat down to read blogs…made me smile when I read your post!
Oh me too! Obsessed with hot chocolate that is … each night my sweets has been making me a mug with whip cream. Real whip cream … Mmmm. We usually use Starbucks mocha powder for ours, but I was recently gifted their hot chocolate trio and the salted caramel (just like you get at the store) is to die for. So yum!
I’ve justified that it is better than ice cream … so I’m okay to indulge every night?!?! Right? 🙂
It is cold and rainy here…I LOVE hot chocolate!!!! And I think I may have a cup this afternoon while the children are napping. For me, it’s hard to only have one cup! 😉
I make my own hot chocolate mix and store it in a big glass jar on my counter. My boys choose it over the store bought stuff. I’ve been perfecting it over the last couple of years. If you would like the recipe I’d be happy to pass it along. Happy Thanksgiving.
My heated therapy bag and a nutella sandwich is soothing me right now!
Sorry you had/have internet issues — was hoping everything was ok with all of you. Hang in there, the blahs sure can be lousey! Sending you a hug!
By the way – I received my order – my first pieces of your jewerly and I LOVE THEM! So beautiful, I feel so motivated wearing them – is that weird??
Have a great weekend with your family! Happy Thanksgiving!

Oooooh! I love hot chocolate too! The Stephen’s rasberry chocolate cocoa mix is my fav!
What is soothing my soul right now…. memories of last weekend’s anniversary get away. It was a wonderfully relaxing vacation. 🙂
I’m obsessed with hot chocolate right now, too! My fave is the Signature Hot Chocolate from Starbuck’s with a shot of toffee-nut syrup in it – yum!! Happy Thanksgiving!!
