hello friends! we have about 22 family members in town visiting and it’s mass chaos and tons of fun. we are still glowing from christmas and loving all the cousin time! i’ll be back soon with more pics to share. are you still celebrating or is it back to every day life?
Hi there Lisa..I recognized Morro Bay right away. My hubs is a commercial fisherman was down there for a few months in the late summer so we went to spend time in the area with him a couple of times…not too far from us here in Half Moon Bay! Happy New Year! Gonna order me something in a minute.

it is my chandelier this is so cheesy but it was from urban outfitters (like 8 years ago) in aqua and i didn’t like the color anymore so i spray-painted it white for my wedding and now it hangs in my bedroom!
not every day life yet…my son is still off school and my Mother in Law still in the hospital so we’ll have another Christmas celebration when she is recovered! 🙂
Husband is back to work. We homeschool and we’re still on Christmas break. Leaving our tree & decorations up until next weekend.
I’ve been enjoying following your blog for the last month or so….a highlight of my day now Lisa. You are so inspiring! We have family still in town (St. Louis) and have been working on my girls’ new room (Christmas present) and searching for a chandelier today to replace a ceiling fan……too dangerous with the new bunk beds! Can I ask where you found the one in the pic…just what we’re looking for. Thank you!
I also love the chandelier—do tell where you found it. We have packed up the Christmas decor but left out some snowmen till the end of January or until I’ve had enough of them. We are relaxing though and plan to enjoy some fun family time with the kids–movies, ice skating and the arcade I believe.
the chandelier was hanging from a tree at a friend’s wedding. it looks like it was from the 60’s or 70’s {not sure!} but maybe you’ll stumble on one in a thrift store or vintage shop!
Still enjoying the holiday here, tomorrow will be the annual “lutefisk”-party. Basically, you put fish in lye for a while, and then you cook it. Very stange indeed. The less enthustiastic of us get to eat some sort of meat casserole. Yum!!
Enjoy your days with the family! <3
Oh yeah , back to the old grind for me …. I will be off on Friday and hope to catch up around here . take tree down, get christmas stuff put up and do a clean sweep for the new year !!
No normal for us… this is the first official holiday break for my husband and me with our new family… 3 foster children… taking them on an adventure tomorrow… will be our first over night adventure too! Keep fingers crossed for us!!
Back to normal for us, family gone, tree down, decorations all packed up and waiting to bring in the New Year.
Love that chandelier! What a fun week for you. We have one more Christmas celebration this coming weekend. And, I’m also celebrating my first-ever piece of LL jewelry, purchased by my sweet hubby for Christmas (the daisy-chain bracelet … he’s good with hints! :-)). I’ve given so many as gifts, but this is the first of my own! yay!
Ditto here. Definitely not back to reality. The week between Christmas and New Year’s has always slid naturally into a ‘non-work time zone’ around here.
We are definitely NOT back to everyday life yet, and I’m love’n it! Everyone is off work and school.. sleeping late, visiting, eating lots of great food, and finding some down time to relax.
PS.. My hub’s ordered THE TOGETHER necklace and I LOVE IT!!!! I’ve worn it each day since Christmas. Beautiful work!
it’s back to everyday life, but with more down time 🙂 i’ve taken yesterday and today off from sewing to clean and re-arrange my studio. it’s a nice break to be at home and to really enjoy being at home.
xoxo.
