remember this couple? they got married on saturday. and it was lovely.
*
i wore a black dress with tights and black t-straps. matthias asked me why i painted my legs green.
he has an awful lot of opinions about what i wear.
*
*
every couple got a jar of homemade plum jam. and we parked just across the way near
a vineyard and took a shuttle to the ceremony/reception site.
*
*
they were married at a home in rural arroyo grande under a canopy of trees at sunset. it was breath-taking.
*
*
marijke and a friend made her dress. many of the touches from the wedding were homemade.
i love homemade gatherings–they have so much character.
*
*
after the sunset the candles and strings of lights just glowed. i didn’t bring my flash, so my friend beth and i just tried to steady my camera as best we could in the low light. she captured the kiss above. the evening was so beautiful. i soaked it all up!

tim & marijke, i wish you joy. your life together won’t be easy, cushy or fluffy. that’s not who you two are.
but it will be marked by beauty, kindness and love. and that is a wonderful blessing.
I am loving all the unique and lovely weddings I am seeing now. I tease my husband that we need to do it all over again so I can plan another wedding:-)
I just found this blog. Your pictures are beautiful!! God is so good and answered a mother’s prayers when He brought Marijke into Tim’s life. l really appreciate my son’s good taste in Beatle’s music. We’ve always enjoyed their tunes together.I especially enjoyed the Mother & Son dance. We danced to “I Just Called to Say I Love You” by Stevie Wonder. Tim learned to crawl to this song at 6 mos. old. It had a lot of sentimntal value to me. Coincidently, TIm always called me when he went off to college, Just to say I Love You!!
Great memories and beautiful pics!
