Hello friends! It’s Wednesday and I’m linking up with Lindsey at the Pleated Poppy for some fashion inspiration. This outfit was super cozy on chilly day. Jeans, the Limited via TJ Maxx. Gray Sweater, Target. Down vest, Gap. Pink Scarf, Zara {purchased in England}.These boots, oh how I love them! They are so comfortable that I can wear them all day. They run a little small–so size up half a size. Gift from Lotta from Stokholm. They are the Primula style and they’re on sale. So yeah–go check it out!Above, jeans the Limited via TJ Maxx. Long sleeved black tee and graay sweater, both Banana Republic. Bracelet, My shop.Red mary janes, Poetic License via Ambiance. Love these shoes–and they’re definitely a conversation starter. They run a bit big, so size down half a size.
I get asked a lot about how to buy jeans that work for a large cuff. Here’s a couple tips…
1. Straight jeans work best {boot cut are too floppy and skinny are too tight}
2. Denim with a little stretch helps to keep the cuff in place well
3. A thicker, stiffer denim will hold the cuff nicely
4. When your in the dressing room, try cuffing the jeans to see if it will work. You can press them into place at home if the cuff needs to be smoothed out a bit!
5. Look for sales! If you find a pair of jeans that are too long–cuff them! A little too short? They might be perfect for cuffing!
Have a great Wednesday, friends!
LOVE your style!! Is the B. Republic grey sweater a recent find? I really want it! Keep the outfits coming! xo
I love your hairstyle! What products do you use?
Those boots are fabulous!
Lisa- Fabulous outfits this week!!! I love the vest and sweater…and of course both pairs of shoes are simply fantastic! Looking great!!
Yeah. Those shoes are pretty much amazing.
Just want you to know, I now own those shoes, because of YOU! I was so inspired months ago, and I tracked them down on the internet last week and they arrived at my door a few days ago. Love them! (I looked at that very same sweater at Banana – but decided to pass. It’s WAY cute on you!) 🙂
Cute cute cute! Loving the down jacket & the red shoes…so fun 🙂
You’re looking beautiful Lisa.
really cute shoes!
also – a question for you – i’m a curly girl, too, and always curious about what hair products others are using. i’m a ouidad fan for styling, but always willing to try something new. what do you use?
hi Katrina,
here is a link of me telling you guys how i do my hair! http://vimeo.com/18537876 hope that helps!
Hi Lisa! I am loving those red shoes. I have to go to a 1920s themed dinner and I’ve been looking for shoes. Do you think those would look okay with a little black dress and tights? (I’m fashionally-challenged.)
Those are great red shoes… I just love your style girl…

It’s looking chilly out your way, for sure. Today I posted the final part to the Family Rules Project. This mother of all posts took me two hours to complete today. It was a doozey! But it’s all done and finished. Whew! Here’s the link if you’d like to see the finale.
