Hey friends! We are home from Mexico and getting back into the swing of things. We had a wonderful trip–although once we got there, it took me a couple days to unwind and stop feeling guilty about leaving the boys. I’m sharing pics from our getaway and I have more to share tomorrow. How about some hellos?
Hello sunshine and palm trees. It felt like summer and it’s making me long for warmer weather!
Hello iguanas roaming the beach. Crazy!
Hello crystal clear water. Beautiful.
Hello time with friends. We were there with 5 other couples and it was amazing to soak them up!
Hello combing the beach for little treasures.
Hello snorkeling. I haven’t been since our honeymoon 14 years ago and I was a little nervous. But I picked up again quickly and we saw a baby shark, a sting ray and a few sea turtles.
Hello boat ride. Steve got sea sick–poor guy! He was a trooper though!
Hello mexican coca-cola. Yum!
Hello rays of sun bursting through the clouds in the late afternoon.
Hello time with him and me. Much, much needed time to reconnect and talk and dream. And just be together. I think that was the best part.
Hello taco soup and stuffed sweet potatoes for dinner this week.
Hello Monday holiday. Aren’t Monday holidays the best?
Hello pancakes and coffee.
Hello a brand new week. Let’s take it slow, all right?
Very good blog. Thank you very much for taking time to write these posts.
Hey Lisa… Woudl you mind sharing the name of the resort that you guys stayed at… We are currently researching…. Thanks so much… Great pictures and thanks for sharing… Luv your style and take on life…
We stayed at the Secrets resort. Next door was Sabor–owned by the same company. Both were nice!
One last question was it called Secrets by Aura? We stayed at a Secrets a few years ago but it was closer to Playa Del Carmen?
Yep we were at Secrets. So pretty.
Lisa, looks like you are having a fabulous time! Love seeing the sun shine!
Oh, Lisa. So happy for you. I remember you saying you were stressed and your blog about feeling like a failure really resonated with me. So glad you got that sweet time away. It makes me want to start planning our 10 yr anniversary trip this year. 🙂
I absolutely love these pics! I hope you do something really special with the black and white of you and Steve. And did you get your swim suit at Tar-jay?
xo!
Hello, Monday off! Hello to appointments this week, along with a writing weekend away and MY FAVORITE NIGHT OF THE YEAR: Oscar Night!
Thanks Kelli! I love that last pic too. Maybe I should print it on canvas.
My swinsuit is from walmart. I wanted a vintage style and this one is afforadable and so flattering! Here’s the link. http://www.walmart.com/ip/17804494?wmlspartner=wlpa&adid=22222222227014746706&wl0=&wl1=g&wl2=&wl3=13222967590&wl4=&wl5=pla&veh=sem

All your photos are wonderful but the last one of you and Steve is perfection. Just adorable. Thanks for sharing, always.
Thanks Deb! xx
My husband and I wil be married 25 years next month. We have visited Cozumel three times and every time I came home my soul was renewed. Cozumel is magical!!
That’s such a great way to say it–I feel like my soul is renewed too!
We leave for Finland in six weeks and I can’t wait to photo record our visit with our son, our daughter-in-law, and our new grandson. Plus the Finnish countryside is so beautiful! The photo posts of your trips are always an inspiration. Welcome home and enjoy your week.
That sounds like it will be amazing! Travel abroad and family are two of my favorite things!!
Such a good reminder to take the time for our marriages! My hubby and I struggle with this SO much. With little help … we get a dinner date every few months and it is just not enough. Thanks for encouraging me this morning to find ways to make our time alone together HAPPEN. you are always an encouragement to me.
I agree– Steve and I need to make more time for US. It’s hard and I often feel guilty but we need to make our marriage a top priority. xx
Love your pictures here. Another vote for taking it slow today….Have a lovely week. 🙂
