everyone in our family has a cold. david’s been out of school for 8 days now. and it’s just a nasty cold! but we’ve been burning through kleenex like crazy!
and i love the lazy mornings. i make pancakes we watch cartoons. we snuggle. and then i start to get restless. i need to get out of the house. so the last few days we’ve been driving through mcdonalds and sitting by the ocean while we eat our lunch. then we come back home and turn on cartoons again.
when i was growing up my mom said, ‘too sick to go to school, too sick to play’. but when it looks like this outside you can hardly blame us! right?!
oh, i agree! sick days are the best of both worlds sometimes, you know?

We have a son with down syndrome. When he gets a nasty cold, it can last for days. By afternoon, we both need a change. It is such a treat for him to ride in the front seat and go through the drive thru at McDonald’s! Makes his day. We do not get to eat it by the ocean, but one can dream! I can’t wait for Spring!
One should never be too sick to play.

I am so jealous of the sunny sky. We are in PA. under2 feet of snow and now a nice 2 inch coating of ice. Can’t wait for spring.

This is funny, Lisa, because all of mine are sick and home. Today I just had to get out, so we drove through Starbucks for me and then McDonalds Happy Meals for them (a rare treat). Then back to Diego.

It’s funny how you do start feeling better in the afternoon…and I’m with you…how could you stay in on a day like the one pictured! Sick days are a great excuse to watch all the old corny shows/cartoons they just make you feel better somehow…:)

Uugh…us too! I am so tired of the colds. I am the last to come down with this fun…but I am now thinking it may have progressed into a sinus infection! Bummer! Love the beach views, wish I was there! : )
